Eurgrubs

Affectionately nicknamed "meatwagons", Eurgrubs are commonly bred and used as an alternative transport to machine vehicles.   Eurgrubs are large, fleshy insectoid beasts that are genetic descendants from a certain type of morbidity that was able to reproduce. The original morbidity was not sapient like most morbidities, and the resulting generations were the same way. Eventually eurgrubs were selectively bred and domesticated to create the large beasts of burden used amongst Loehs.   They are occasionally eaten as a delicacy by some types of Fae, and many have tried farming them outside of Loehs. However, they struggle to thrive amongst fae spaces or anywhere on the mortal plane.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Eurgrubs look like a mix between overlarge maggots and centipedes. Their bodies are generally a pale colour, ranging from light greys to pinks and browns, and have many sets of large, segmented legs. Their flesh is fatty, and their outer skin is extremely tough to protect them from exterior harm.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Eurgrubs are foragers and scavengers, and will often eat any plant or food matter that they find lying around. They are able to live without a steady supply of food for a long time, as the fat content in their flesh supplies them with energy. They are able to lose up to half their body weight from lack of nourishment before any ill effects start up.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

They are mainly used as transport animals due to their hardiness, although the meat from them is fatty and fae regard it as rather delicious.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Eurgrubs have limited vision, but have multiple lines of sensory hairs and nerves running along their bodies that detect electrical changes. Their hearing is fantastic, however, and is their main way of detecting the world around them.
