Riverrun
The cultural center of Vyon, Riverrun was once the capital city. While the royal family moved north to the more defensible Vydenia, Riverrun is still an important city. It is the largest city on the continent and home to the Temple of Vydea.
Demographics
Riverrun is more diverse than many cities in Vyon, but like the larger country, it is primarily human and half-elf. Likewise, there are many skin tones to be seen, but the majority are pale of skin.
Government
Duchess Katarina Moonstream rules Riverrun and in turn, each of the Barons and Baronesses along the east-west Muyar Road answer to her. The Duchess of Riverrun is the second most politically powerful person in Vyon, second only to the King.
The Duchess has many advisors and a council of nobles, each representing a district in the city and guild leaders. She maintains a court wizard and spymaster as well.

Castle Riverrun
Formerly the home of the royal family and capital of Vyon, Castle Riverrun is now home to Katarina Moonstream and her family. The castle itself is old and surrounded by walls and a moat that is connected directly to the two rivers it sits between. It is large and built of grey stone with parapets and battlements. It is often adorned in blue, silver, and white with the crescent moon and river symbol of the Moonstreams.Defences

Ailith's Ingredients
- A small shop in the Sword Ward of Riverrun. Ailith, a middle aged human woman, is the owner and operator. The side wall is covered in small drawers- labeled with both contents and the spells that would use them. The other side wall has several empty potion bottles, incense, holy symbols, wands, and other focus items, spell scroll papers and inks, and ingredients for making potions. The store is mostly non-magical items sold to casters and crafters.Donny's Discount Hextech
- A second-hand magic items shop, Donny sells items with a guarantee that he will buy it back for a price once it's returned as a sort of permanent rental agreement. He can also create custom magical items. The shop itself is small and cluttered with a ceiling only about six feet tall. The sign outside is a DDH painted in bright green on a dark background.Niro's Tailor Shop
- A half-elf with short silver hair and a flair for fashion runs this shop like a creative army of tailors taking commands from Niro himself. He thrives on challenge and enjoys the rush of a quick turnaround.Infrastructure

A two story building owned by the city and leased to the Adventurer's Guild for cheaper housing within the city. The lower floor is open with tables for eating and meetings. Temple of Vydea
The Temple of Vydea sits on the hill, a massive pyramid with a light shining from the top. A large portion of the temple is composed of the library, the largest such building in Vyon or Ascus and one of the largest in the world. The temple's head priest is the Nightmaster, Swain. Acolytes of Vydea called Loremasters and Tomekeepers oversee the library and scholarly pursuits therein. Commoners
History
Riverrun has always been a large, prosperous city, even back when it was part of Ascus. It is one of the oldest settlements from the first wave of Vatruvian settlers that has survived. It became the capital of Vyon when the first Moonstream declared independence from Ascus.
