The Wild Hunt

The Wild Hunt is a procession of spectral cavalry, knights, war hounds and other creatures cursed to wander eternally through the night. They are omens of catastrophe, like war, famine, and worse, when seen by many, and personal death in case only one sees them. Accounts vary on who leads the Wild Hunt of Ilura. Some believe the ghosts and spectres follow God Emperor Gerial Frose, cursed with undead. Others prescribe that Duergar Kking Darmond Phragos of the War of Phragos is still raging beyond death at his defeat at the hands of those of the Overworld, and had vowed revenge.

History

Several encounters of the Wild Hunt have been described in history, nearly all of them related to war. The most infamous example is the Wild Hunt of New Year's Eve of E2Y919, believed to have been led by Puronn, God of War, himself, heralding the Frosian conquests of the Eastern Realms. Also the War of Phragos was preceded by an appearance of the Wild Hunt, this one consisting of an army of Dullahan, Wraiths, skeletons and other undead rampaging through the modern day Collective of Numiria and disappearing into the depths of Gaias Maral.
