Ring of Control

Wild Magic Hypothesis
Magic wants to be wild in this world. Naturally, I thought about what effects forced control might have on the surroundings. We already controlled the wild magic through Artificing and Trinketing, but what if I could cotrol the magic in a person themselves?

First Prototype

In pure Ignotas fashion, I decided to build something. A ring that regulates the flow of magic in ones body, or at least that is what I've been trying to do the last six months. There are some things that work, and things that work... too well.

The Good News

Okay, so the things that work: I've been able to regulate wild magic inside the body, so the unpredictable effects of spells of furth level or higher do not occure anymore.

The Bad News

I also stopped the actually wanted effects of invokd spells entirely. It even seems like I clotted the spell slots themselves, since the casters that wear this ring are unable to cast any spells of lvl1 and higher.

What's next?

I think I just lack time... Time and Ressources. I would need more test subjects. Ones that are willing to take my ring to the field and test out their skills in real time. And preferrably not die while doing so, I would want my ring back. Maybe a body that can rival the power of the ring might do the trick, but what kind of body could that possibly be?
