Personal history

Early History

Before becoming King Girbrin had to prove himself worthy enough to become an adult in dwarven society. Even after the passing of his father he was not allowed to take the throne until he had passed his rites to adulthood. For many years Girbrin studied and developed his skills as a leader not yet willing to take the step to become the king. Girbrin was a skilled enough fighter and a decent craftsman but neither well enough to show mastership. His skills as a statemen grew but a diplomatic task worthy of mastership is rarely given to a child. Girbrin decided he would take the pilgrimage of walking the Delve.

Walking the Delve is no easy feat and was quite taxing on Girbrin. During the ritual he was not allowed to be guided or aided and could survive only on what he could carry or find in the Delve.
