For the most part dwarves have lived off the mountains and the mines. Dwarven cloth is rough and sturdy but rarely fine. Dwarves instead take more pride in armors and jewels for personal decoration. Many a dwarven king has worn a battle-stained leather jerkin beneath a crown of gold and gems the rival of any surface nation. One’s armor and weapons are the primary visual distinction of wealth and status. Crafted sigils and runes adorn even a simple dwarf has his craftsmen tools engraved with meaning.
