Lt. Skerrin Ristoff

Lieutenant Skerrin Ristoff was the imperious half-elf who was second-in-command of the Termalaine militia, and ally to Naerth Maxildinarr , Speaker of Targos. Naerth had been angling to raise Lt. Skerrin's profile in a bid to have him replace Oarus Masthew, the current Speaker of Termalaine, and further advance the influence of the Zhenterim across Ten Towns.
Skerrin is presumed to have been well-born, as his cultured boorishness, stylish clothes and expensive tastes implied, but the reasons for his presence in the frozen outback of Icewind Dale and his willingness to do the Zhenterim's bidding remain anyone's guess.
His martial skills were impressive, but ultimately insufficient to overcome the combined might of the Party. He met his demise in the snowy woods just north of Termalaine, his head cleanly separated from his shoulders by the sizzling blade of Zarra's Dragon Fire Axe. The ramifications to the Party for Skerrin's well-deserved end have yet to be seen, though it can be assumed that Naerth Maxildinarr will be none-too-pleased at the loss of his lackey.
