Tika appears to be a relatively open and positive Rito to those she meets, though how many she's actually interacted with it's hard to tell. Despite what's happened the last ten years across the world and to her people, she still openly carries a weapon and wears traditional style clothing. This means she's mostly avoided settlements where Ganondorf followers gather, and hides herself at much as possible.   It's been learned that without realizing it, she can speak Deku. Over her time traveling Hyrule she's become friends with many koroks and other fae like creatures, and enjoys spending her time with them. They've also given her knowledge about their kind and she gives a fair amount of respect and care to them. It's not unusual for her to wake up in the morning with a random korok having cuddled up close to her for a bed of soft warm feathers.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Tall, thin and light weight. Hollow bird bones mean she can't take too much physical damage, but quick on her feet and even quicker in the air. Strong upper body thanks to flying.

Body Features

Blue feathers which lighten at the tips of her wings and tail. White cheeks and belly. The tips of her wings, hair, and tail are all black.

Identifying Characteristics

Freckles dot her face, shoulders, back, wing tips and tail.

Physical quirks

Hates staying still. She'll often be either swaying slightly back and forth, or almost bouncing lightly on her feet. Prefers to fly then walk anywhere.

Apparel & Accessories

Hair is tied back into five braids wrapped in gold colored cloth. Clothing is mostly red, decorated with white and gold designs typical for Rito culture. Back of her shirt has a floral design specific to her own family.

Specialized Equipment

Excels at ranged combat and maneuverability, avoids melee as much as possible.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Lived in the Rito Village with her parents and siblings until Ganondorf and his followers attacked it ten years ago. Her mother and the rest of the warriors fought the army while everyone else, including the rest of Tika's family escaped. What she did after that, and where she was, she doesn't talk about. Only started traveling through Hyrule in the last six months.

Sexuality

Bisexual

Education

Basic education only in terms of reading, writing, and math. Higher learning wasn't available to her.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Despite Ganondorf having banned Rito from carrying and using weapons of any kind, Tika is highly skilled at a bow and the aerial combat abilities that Rito were formally known for. Where she learned this, she doesn't say.

Mental Trauma

These exist, not like she's going to talk about them. Good luck.

Taboos

Don't be a jerk to the fae beings on Hyrule with her around. They're all her friends!

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Wishes to continue traveling across the world, so she can see and learn as much as she can. After learning she was one of the heroes, she was given more reason to fight Ganondorf, which would free the Rito left from his rule and restrictions.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Skilled with her Lyre and singing. Not so skilled at cooking (food that doesn't need to be cooked is her friend).

Vices & Personality flaws

  • Too curious for her own good.
  • Bottles up her negativity.
  • Stubborn.

Personality Quirks

She can't stay still for long, and her fidgeting tends to get worse when she's lying. Avoids eye contact regularly when lying as well.   When she gets excited or nervous she'll often start speaking more rapidly, and even speak with her hands.   Hates sleeping on the ground and will always try to find the highest tree or other perch to properly rest in.

Hygiene

Seems to be very picky about keeping her feathers clean and proper, seeing a Rito that doesn't irritates her greatly. If they're younger then her she'll take the time to make sure they do go clean their feathers, and help if needed.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Seems to have some kind of contact, who she views as safe and trust worthy enough to send Fink to after they rescued the Rito. She's very secretive about them though, and kept vague even when speaking to him alone about these people.

Social Aptitude

Open to meeting new people, her high curiosity normally ends up with her trying to learn about anyone new she encounters or what they've seen in their travels.

Wealth & Financial state

Survives off of mostly trade with travelers she encounters. She has little money of her own and uses what she makes to keep her own traveling supplies maintained.   It's been revealed that a majority of her trade is with deku and koroks, as she views them as safer to interact with then anyone else. This also explains her lack of interest in rupees, as these creatures trade mostly in korok seeds. Which she has a bag of at all times.

Forest Temple

Are we really still in a tree? How exactly is this possible?! W-Well anyways! We kept continuing on through the temple. Lots of long hallways, and I really hate this. Being indoors for so long is almost suffocating! There is no way to spread my wings or fly. Not a good feeling.   Down one hall we ended up finding this reel with a weird puzzle. Rock slabs that we had to slide around to get a... key stone(?) through. You'd think Dargo would be best for moving the slabs but NOPE. He seems to have trouble telling left from right so Rava pushed while Mavar, Zed, and I gave directions. The puzzle turned out to be pretty easy with us working together.   Dargo... seems to take things too literally. Is it legit? Is he bluffing? CAN he bluff? I don't know. But when he asked which way to go Mavar made some joke about 'Go the right way, cause the other would be wrong' and now Dargo keeps going right! You know... when he remembers which way is right. Wow.   Of course there were more rooms with more monsters, and more weird chests that appeared only after all the monsters were killed. Oh-OH! But! One chest Zed opened had an AWESOME bow! It's so well crafted and beautiful! It can't shoot very small, but it can hold THREE arrows at once! How amazing is that right?! Zed traded it to me for one of my feathers, and he better NOT use it for anything weird! If he does I'm gonna shoot him and he knows it. But seriously, why a feather? I won't worry about that too much right now, I HAVE A NEW BOW!!   Apparently Zed has some history with an asshole pot and he now holds a grudge towards all pottery cause the guy LOVES to break them. Him and Rava got into some kinda disagreement cause he was breaking pots. I don't know what happened next cause Mavar wandered off and I kinda followed him? The guy is weird, but he seems to have a bit of a prankster side? It's kinda fun actually. Even though the temple is dangerous, and most things suck, he kinda... makes it more enjoyable? I actually miss having tiny moments of fun like that.   So anyways, we all meet back up in this huge room, and the doors closed behind us and locked! Because OF COURSE we now have to deal with rooms and locking doors. More monsters show up that we have to fight, and at one point Dargo took a lit bomb and hit it across the room blowing up a deku scrub right near me. WHAT KINDA CRAZY GUY HITS A BOMB WITH A HAMMER ACORSS A ROOM?!   After the room we encountered a poe in the halls, and I thought we'd have to fight it too. But um... Mavar can speak to ghosts? Like is sounds really creepy and unsettling? Also, everyone didn't trust ME when I spoke to a deku, BUT MAVAR SPEAKS TO GHOSTS?! But he did make friends with that ghost, and the ghosts sibling showed up and fought us. Oh, by the way Mavar likes eating souls. Yeah that's a thing. Yeah remember when everyone distrusted ME?! What the heck?!   Once we get over the whole soul eating we find this SUPER BIG room! Like the ceiling was 40 feet up or something like that, and there was a giant tree. A tree growing inside a tree I guess? Everything is weird now I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't question it more. This super giant moth monster then showed up and we all had to fight it. I got to test out my new bow and I could actually fly finally! Felt so much better being able to fight in the air.   Together we all take down the moth creature and a new room unlocks. Inside it we find a SWORD... hilt. Yeah just the hilt. And the scabbard. But no blade. So, so useful I know. Mavar and Zed fought over it and now Mavar has a scabbard with no sword, and Zed had a hilt with no blade. So worth the fight.   As we're checking out other rooms we encounter these weird blob monsters? They hit really hard and when you hit them they just split in half?! WHY?! Anyways there were a lot, and once we beat them Dargo found a chest that had FIRE ARROWS! I know right?! Super expensive fire arrows in this place that were free! Dargo thought about throwing an arrow for the magic but... that really doesn't work. So he gave me the arrows! How awesome is that!   He also called me brother? Yeah it was weird. Tried to explain I wasn't a guy but he just went on about how everyone's a brother. Maybe it's a goron thing? I don't know. Weird but it doesn't bother me I guess?   We then left through a pair of giant golden doors and finally left the temple. That was a crazy day.

People I Know

Dargo: Still find him kinda dumb, but he has no problem leading the way through possibly dangerous hallways so I guess he's alright. I think we need to teach him how to tell left from right though. Oh, and a lesson or two on how to recognize sarcasm.   Mavar: WEIRD! Weird and creepy and seriously the guy talks to ghosts and eats souls! And he thought I was distrustful?! ... But I guess he has his fun moments? Kinda flip flops a lot between depressive, creepy, and a joker.   Zedryn: Seems to hate pots with a burning passion. We'll have to keep a close eye on him if we ever go into a town. He'll probably try to break everything. Likes rushing to open every chest too.   Rava: Still seems... normal I guess? She's nice, useful in fights. But she's just... nice? Nice is weird now a days. I don't know, what if she's hiding stuff?

Lost Woods

Well! The last few days have been... weird to say the least? There I am, minding my own business and trying to get some sleep when I have the weirdest dream you could imagine. I woke up and nearly fell out of the dream from shock! It was a voice telling me *I* was the next hero to save Hyrule?! I thought the Hero was always a Hylian! And... you know a guy. There was a Korok in the tree as well and I talked to her and she said to go to the Lost Woods and find the Great Deku Tree. Her and I found a fairy that would lead me to the edge of the woods and we set off.   I get to the border of the Woods only to have my guide fly off with a laugh and telling me 'Good Luck, you'll need it!' Fairies can be such brats some times! I tried flying from above but the fog covering the forest and the thick room of branches gave me nothing to work with. After I landed and was trying to decide what to do... some strangers showed up.   You know, I see a lot of strangers in my travels, but I felt like I'd walked into a bad joke when a Gerudo, Goron, Hylian, and Zora all made their ways to the forest edge. Hylians you see sometimes, but it's WEIRD seeing a Gerudo out of the desert, or a Goron away from the mountains. I tried to hide how twitchy I was, you never know if they're Ganondorf followers after all. Might have been... a bit overly talkative? Maybe? I don't know.   We ended up agreeing to go into the forest together, you know, safety in numbers. I was a bit unsure, if I am for some reason the Hero (seriously, there were no Hylians or GUYS that could magically do this instead?!) I don't want these strangers knowing. I can't trust them that easily. Getting through he forest was... interesting? Confusing? Well, anyways I now know how it got it's name. Between avoiding giggling paths, trees poking Dargo (that's the Goron), a foggy field where we had to go towards a faint breeze, and a Deku Scrub deciding to smack us with seeds we got through the forest. The poor scrub though, said he was there to keep us from going down the wrong paths and Mavar (the Zora) was such a bully to him!   Oh a side note, apparently when I speak to Deku I speak another language?! Why did NO ONE tell me that?! Oh, wait I'm always alone that's probably why. But how do I speak a language without realizing it? Is that why the Koroks and Fairies were so surprised when I started saying hello to them? Wait... why didn't they tell me I was speaking another language?! ... Right Koroks and Faries can be brats. ANYWAYS! Moving on!   We made it through the woods and found this nice village, it was fillied with Faries, Koroks, Deku Scrubs! It was beautiful. They we finally met the great Deku Tree. He's HUGE! Like I've seen big trees but NOTHING like this. Imagine the view from the top of his branches. Think he'd let me tr- I'm getting off topic again!   At first he assumed Zed (the Hylian) was the Hero. Myself and... all the others were surprised. Then we realized we'd ALL had the same dream! Apparently Mavar had been getting it for two weeks, why did he take so long to get here? Did he get the dream so early BECAUSE he was ignoring it? The Deku Tree was surprised to realize we'd all came here thinking we're the Hero, and then explained how last time the Hero's soul and weapon had been shattered. Apparently we all have a piece of the Hero's soul and that's why there are five of us? That means I'm STUCK with these four?! Whyyyyyyy?!   The Deku Tree explained we had to go through trials, through five... temples. We all said we were ready to start and ended up going INSIDE the Deku Tree and into a dungeon? A bit crazy I know, and it's filled with traps! I stepped on some flowers and they sprayed me with poison, POISON! I'll never look at flowers the same way. There were also lots of monsters, and some kinds of weird magic as well. Red orbs that can heal us, chests that appear out of no where. I just... it's all so WEIRD! But I can say, at least these four know how to fight. So I can just stay back and shoot things. I miss having room to fly.   I hope we can get through this dungeon soon.   -------------------------------------------------------------

People I Met

Dargo : A Goron, seems nice enough. Innocent and maybe a little... slow? I mean that's most Goron I guess. He has a big hammer he uses to fight and also likes playing music! Maybe sometime when we're not traveling in a possibly dangerous place we can play together. Also apparently scared of Skultullas. Where was he hiding before not anyways? I thought all Goron had been enslaved by Ganondorf and his armies?   Mavar: A Zora. Weird is the best way to describe him. I can't tell if he hates me, or he just acts that way to everyone? Talks to his lantern and calls it 'Sisters'. Is this really how he acts all the time?! Seems to like talking about death, I mean he's probably... seen a lot I guess? There aren't a lot of Zora left either after all. He was also a jerk to the Deku Scrub. Also seemed to assume I was working WITH the scrub and... yeah no I think he hates me.   Zedryn: A tiny Hylian. Grumpy, smacked me for poking him. Maybe he's a grump cause he has to share this whole 'Hero' thing with non Hylains? I can't tell. He does... have an interesting symbol on his cloak. Can't mention it around the others and I haven't been able to talk to him alone. Seems decent enough? I don't know.   Rava: A Gerudo. She seems... more mature then the rest of us? Kinda hard to tell at this point. She didn't talk a lot, seemed to be observing more then anything. I wonder how a Gerudo feels being told she's a Hero that will stop Ganondorf. I thought he was their King?
