The Year of blood and ash
In the year 7080 EO three large volcanoes on the eastern side of Avermundi erupted within days of one another setting off a year full of natural disasters.
After erupting the three volcanoes, Kali'nesh, Naioma, and Lupi Mandibulus, continued to spew smoke and ash for a full thirty days. The ash blotted out the sun causing an unusually cool summer in the east and a bitter winter in the west.
Tremors caused by the eruptions sent earthquakes across the globe and caused multiple tidal waves that shifted the worlds terrain leaving the current maps out of date.
Some of the notable geographical features that were formed by these events are:
- The massive crevasse in northern Riba'nezz that Sa'kanathrin is built in.
- The strange underwater terrain of the Channel of Jewels.
- The huge mountain ranges in Haa'jiira and Menerv.
- Kylia's basalt plains.
