Shivi Scalefeather is a Menirvin woman who looks to be approaching middle age though no one knows her actual age. She lives in the empty meeting hall of the old abandoned village of Shrikesbeak which has since been renamed after her to Shivi's bolthole. And spends most of the day either sleeping or organizing her ever expanding collection of items and books. During the night is when she tends to go out and conduct her business unless she needs to buy things from Frosthold. When she does need to buy something from town she leaves in the morning and will have all her errands finished by late afternoon and head back home for the night.
The general view on her in Frosthold is that she can be blunt and her behavior seems to be greatly affected by the many strange places she has traveled. However, She is always willing to answer curious children's questioning and likes to lend a hand with troublesome tasks when she is in town. So while there are certainly people who dislike her she is well liked for the most part.
She is known here and there in academic circles and was mostly thought to be amateurish. Until a group of scholars of various fields met at a gala for raising research funds and found that the various strange wandering scholar they kept mentioning in their tales was the same one in every story. This has made her a sort of enigma, most disregard her as a well traveled peasant, others spin more fantastic tales of disowned heirs and illegitimate princesses. The most cleaver simply stay out of her business and occasionally write her letters asking what she thinks of their latest endeavors, she always has some advice to give.
