Long ago the people that would be menirvians were groups of scattered warring tribes when a race of elvelike beings arrived from a place unknown conquered and enslaved them. when a mere forty years later they banded together and completely eradicated their oppressors.

They are hard workers and tend to have close communities and will lend food and labor if their neighbors are down on their luck, but don't take their charitable mentality as a opportunity to freeload even a lame dunce can peel a potato or shuck corn.
