Elves
The Elves of The Howllands are a prideful race, but also one with the capability of great love and compassion toward all. Their pride stems from their immortality and almost divine connection to the magics that flow through the world, through this pride they can become highly reclusive and racist to the extent of isolationist beliefs within their given kingdoms and races. The Elves are split between three main races, The High Elves who are the most prideful of all the races and consider themselves to be the closest to the gods going so far as to claim themselves all to be direct descendants. The Wood Elves who are the most kind out of all the elvan races, are also the most connected to the natural magic of the Howllands and thus have a deep connection with nature and the animals of the world. And lastly The Dark Elves a shadowy secret race of elves that live in enormous underground cities buried deep within the shadow caves. They are almost as prideful as the high elves but for the wrong reason, they are strongly connected with the evil forces of this world and claim themselves to be half demons destined to engulf the world in an eternal darkness. All these races live in a seeming docile peace with each other respecting only the fact that they are all elves and in reality kin. The elves will refer to other elves of a different race as cousin and to those of their same race as brother, sister, or sibling.

Family names
Elves are an ancient race within The Howllands so ancient in fact that no other race truly knows how long they have been around for. And that is a secret that no elf will ever tell, for the logic behind their divine heritage hinges on the mystery behind their origin. Thus this allows the elves to have one main house per race with a slew of other branch names behind it. The High Elves main house or family is House Pale Wood, The Wood Elves main house is house Jade Star, And The Dark Elves main house is house Shade Heart

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Elves believe that clean face, body, and mind are what brings them closer to divinity. For males a clean shaven face with a fit body and long hair well kept and brushed is the pinnacle of beauty. Whilst for females it is a slender frame with fair skin, free of blemishes and long flowing well brushed hair is the the pinnacle. But it does not end here, Elves pride themselves on their looks and how they appear to other races High Elves adorn themselves with countless golden pieces of jewelry and dress themselves in fine silky long robes. Wood Elves prefer to seem more mysterious and earthly they will adorn themselves with pieces of beautifully carved wooden jewelry with pale white gemstones and dress with bright colored robes made of velvet and smooth leather. Dark Elves pride themselves on seeming both beautiful and threatening at the same time they even have different body specifications. Dark Elf males will strive to become athletic broad shouldered beasts of men with finely trimmed beards that make them look both intimidating and roguishly handsome. While females are slim but very fit not to the point of sacrificing their beauty but just to the point of enhancing it to its highest form. Dark elves will have dark bladed jewelry adorned with red or dark purple gemstones and dress in black and red flowing robes made of linen and a hardy studded dark leather.
Gender Ideals
Elves are old, millennia older than most of the mortal races of the Howllands. This has liberated them from the confines of primitive gender and sexuality limits. Elves can appear as gender less or of one gender or another.
Courtship Ideals
Elves will "date" one an other for several years at a time but the concept of courting one another has been lost to them for some centuries. When one Elf sees another it wishes to court with they will simply tell them and face the consequences that follow without regret.
Relationship Ideals
Marriage has lost its original sanctity with the elves. It is now more of like choosing a preferred mating partner but this does not put every other elf off limits to them.
