Geography

The Hallowed Forest is the largest timberland in all of the Howllands, it is a place filled with life of all shapes and sizes and is the home of the Elves. The forest itself is mostly flat with only small hills and streams breaking up the incredibly dense tree line, there are four rives that flow through the forest that connect the Chilled Sea to The Sea of Clouds, these rivers are The River Gleam, The River of Life, The Golden Current, and The Midnight River. The floor of the forest is entirely covered with flower bushes, thicket, and ferns as tall as small carriages, and towering above them are the trees of the forest. On the outs certs of the tree line the trees appear as normal oak and maples but as one venture deep the roots and trunks of the trees grow thicker and taller to the point where much of the inner forest is in a perpetual dusk. Nestled on the trunks of these mighty trees are the villages and outposts of the Elves, it is said that the Elves have hollowed out some trees and turned them into great libraries and learned places. Some trees are even known to be sentient and can move small distances at will. The greatest of all things hidden within the forest is the great Elvish city of High Tower, a massive city of thee sea most edge of the Hallowed Forest almost perfectly woven into the mighty trees that surround it the city also houses one of the many wonders of the Howllands The Library of The Dawn. An monstrous tower carved out of the still living body of a mountain sized birch tree the only one within the entire forest and at its summit high above its leaf line lies the great light house spire which blazes with a heat less flame-less light that is said to be able to harness the power of the sun itself at dawn and keep its light going all through the night.
