The Ghost of Kyro Nero (Kee-roh Nee-roh)

...
— The Ghost of Kyro Nero
The infamous “Ghost” of Kyro Nero was a Desert Ranger that once served the Gibbous survivors. Since the fall of Kyro Nero and the Gibbous settlements, the Ghost has lurked around the abandoned water depot, still protecting the location from anything, and anyone. The Ghost's actual name is unknown.   Rumours circulate on whether or not the Ghost is actually alive, or some kind of void-like manifestation that formed because of the collapse of the colony. Syzygy Colonists are warned not to go near Kyro Nero unless absolutely necessary.

Physical Description

APPAREL & ACCESSORIES

The Ghost has been seen wearing a sandblasted set of rigid impact plate armour, with a sun-bleached military coat worn over.   They are equipped with an anti-material sniper rifle with armour piercing rounds, and a double-action, swing-out cylinder wheelgun named "Dragonsbreath" which can fire incendiary rounds. They also have a standard-issue military knife.

Mental characteristics

The Ghost of Kyro Nero is quiet and for the majority of the time it's unknown where they are located when entering the abandoned water depot until someone gets shot. The Ghost doesn't ask or care what reasons one might at the depot for, shooting at anyone indiscriminately.   The ghost doesn't leave Kyro Nero, and will leave any passersby alone if they are outside the territory.

It is assumed that all of the Ghost's relatives were part of the Gibbous survivors, and have since perished or gone mad.

Dang. That's kinda sad, and kind of spooky. But mostly sad. Poor 'ghost'. I wonder what makes them want to stick around Kyro Nero so much, especially since it's still a ghost town.   Although I don't feel too bad, since they have a gun and fully embrace the sentiment of 'shoot first, ask questions later'.   I like it. A nice article; short, sweet and a little mysterious. Bravo!
