Care packages are supply drops sent from
Homeworld to aid in the survival of the Hoomans who had crashed onto
Reminia. The packages were mainly developed and sent by
Alcyone and their programme.
Technology
The care packages were made to withstand space travel, enter Reminia’s atmosphere and withstand impact with the ground.
Alcyone also added a computer system into the package that acted almost as an A.I, to answer questions about the package and its contents.
Various extra questions and answers were added related to life on Homeworld, things technology related, historical information and answers about Alycone themself. They added everything they could think of that could be brought up in a conversation so it was possible for a person to talk with it to an extent.
It is unable to answer questions it was not programmed to and will stay silent if that’s the case.
Alcyone decided to program it this way as they believed if the situation occurred where there was only one survivor left on Reminia, they would at least not be lonely.
Reception
Reminians would go to great lengths in trying to locate and acquire the drops, and celebrate when returning with the resources that they were given. The care packages were so highly esteemed that the ones that had survived after they had lost contact with Homeworld were developed into
altars.
