Angles Myth in Hoomanland | World Anvil

Angles (An-guh-el)

I heard that when Humans die, they leave their bodies in the ground and turn into angles. Then they fly around in the clouds and stuff.
— Meldy
Angles are triangular creatures that are believed to be the next part of a Nasgovian human's life-cycle. They are extremely fast and whizz through the air. Angles are very light and live in the clouds.
To ward off Angles, Hoomans are told to place pumpkins in and around their homes. Most usually do this during the start of the year, where it's believed to be an increase of Angle activity.

Spread

Knowledge of Angles spread through the Nasgovian Hooman society, but didn't really take off until 106 AC, during and after the The Two Month War. With the amount of Humans that died, there were increased claims of Angle sightings.

Variations & Mutation

The origins of the Angles is from a very inaccurate retelling of what Humans believe about angels.
