Archbeacon Tariq ban Yensin (a.k.a. Tarrick)
Tariq, sometimes written in Falerian as "Tarrick," ban Yensin is a Mashiqi male human priest and the Archbeacon at the pantheistic Sunstair Sanctum temple in the Holy City of Jeharoa. He is an important figure within city life and an advisor to Queen Theodosia I herself. In his capacity as advisor to the Queen, Tariq is seen as a moderate who speaks for the people of the Kingdom of Jeharoa along with Nizar the Turnclaw.

Contacts & Relations
Tariq is a close advisor of Queen Theodosia I, acting as both a voice for the faithful as well as a spiritual advisor to the bereft Queen. With the deaths of her husband and her son, Queen Theodosia has become a somnambulist, wandering the Palace of Wisdom and crying out in mad fits. Many worry that she is unfit to rule, but the Queen's reliance on the Pilgrim military have caused concern for Tariq and for Nizar the Turnclaw, a fellow Mashiqi and an ally of Tariq. Tariq has been using his divine magic to try and soothe the Queen, but she grows more and more stricken and more and more reliant on her more bellicose advisors as the weeks continue.
Religious Views
Tariq ban Yensin is a beacon of Uriah and the Archbeacon of the Holy City of Jeharoa. He is thus deeply religious and regards Uriah as his true savior and maker. He takes a great pride in maintaining the Sunstair Sanctum as a place of worship for all those who follow the Heavenly Council. However, unlike some of his fellow clergymen of the Sunstair, Tariq is cautious of the Pilgrims whom have reinstated Heavenly Council's faith as the state religion. He recalls the devastation and reconstruction that was required of the people of Jeharoa following the First Pilgrim War. Though only an infant in the final days of the war, Tariq's father Yensin died while trying to get back to his family in the middle of the Sunstair Massacre. As a result, Tariq is naturally suspicious of the hawkish calls for war his fellow clergy have made and he himself has tried to keep the Queen Theodosia I from engaging in such bellicose rhetoric.
Tariq believes that his harsh upbringing has been the design of Uriah and that the Sun Radiant wishes for Tariq to try and help shepherd the laws and traditions of Jeharoa through this turbulant period of its history.
