Sharun-sharek

The Voidcreature

Sharun-sharek is the Old Temekanian name for eldritch creature that is said to have contained the building blocks of the multiverse and unintentionally brought about the pivotal Ordering of the Cosmos. It is rarely described in myth or art as anything other than "beyond mortal comprehension" and "possessing maws and eyes and appendages that drove even the aboleth mad with confusion, rage, and terror." According to most traditions, Sharun-sharek was killed by the Abyssal One Kahré, and in dying supplied the multiverse with the raw material and potent energy that would come to form not only the Material and Elemental Planes but also three of the gods of the Heavenly Council: Uriah, Porcia, and Milcon. As a subject of religious belief, Sharun-sharek has no known followers or cults, though they may be found in the far corners of the realms where the Voidcreature's flesh remains warm and unstable.

Divine Domains

Sharun-sharek has no divine domain as they are currently understood, though if alive today, it would undoubtedly be a being filled with chaotic malice and a bringer of Death.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Personal history

Nothing is known of Sharun-sharek before it emerged from the murky waters of the Void and encountered the Aboleth Empire and Kahré, the Abyssal One. Upon encountering Sharun-sharek, Kahré grew enraged at the sight of another being of equal intelligence and size as her. The two fought one another for more than an age until finally the Abyssal One threw done her opponent and split it's vast form asunder. From the corpse of Sharun-sharek spilled the Cosmos: hundreds of thousands of bleeding stars and barren planets erupted forth in an ever expanding mass, pushing back the Void until the Astral Plane itself was formed. The energies of Sharun-sharek fused and broke apart again, with the heavier matters falling to the murky waters of the Void and the lighter ethers pulling themselves into the heavens. From these, four primordial states of matter pooled and became as they are known today: Water; Earth; Fire; and Air. Soon, as these primordial elements clashed within the hurtling bowels of Sharun-sharek, a spark from the brightest of the new-born stars struck out into the darkness and in a moment of blinding light and transformed into Uriah, the First Among the Heavens. And from the bones of the Voidcreature, two figures crept into the light of the Sun Radiant; Porcia, the Allmother and Milcon, the Attendant of Death. They took what remained of the Voidcreature and came together to form a new realm, the Material Plane, and a seat from which to look down upon it, the Celestial Mountains.
