Hralldan Dawncaller

Hralldan is a human best known for ending the Prime Demon threat and bringing an end to the Age of Gods.

He was a paladin chosen by Thoella, Goddess of Peace. It was her divine power that sealed the sixth Prime Demon, that he channeled through his form. He accomplished many other feats during his time, and was a Co-Founder of the Martial Guild. His other two Companions, Ilyana Torcaryn and Jorga Greywing, after his death, founded the other two guilds.

History

Early Life

He was born in the year 38 AG in the small town of Bardpointe on the coast of the Kingdom of Epixus. His first claim to fame was taking on the Black Dragon Malataxes hoarding in a cave nearby. The mayor hired him and his companions to see that it was dealt with, and he used his Father's sword to force the dragon to flee its lair. His father's sword, nicknamed Dragon's Bane after driving the creature away from the town, was found to be enchanted to cause Magical Fear and Confusion when striking a dragon.

Adult Life

Hralldan and his companions travelled across the continent taking on stronger creatures for several years. There was also a rumor they were involved in piracy for a time, although those rumors were never substantiated. Hralldan met his husband, Pallmir Cinderhair , in the frozen tundra of Veilheim. He saved him from a young remorhaz and they instantly fell in love.

He also fought in the Sunset War several years after, when Sea Peoples from the Western Continent of Valdorei fled the Disaster of Unara and attacked Epixus out of desperation of being denied refuge. Hralldan and his party began by fighting the Valdoreians for Epixus, but it is rumored one of his companions, Halfling Jorga Greywing, fell in love with an Elven Queen from the Valdoreian's side named Ila Irdleliem Irdleliem. Jorga convinced his friends to switch sides, which turned the tide of the war for the Valdoreians.

Sacrifice and End of an Age

During the waning years of the Age of Gods, there was a massive uptick of the Gods' interference in the Hidden Realm. The theory is that there was a war among the Gods over control of the Hidden Realm, ultimately leading to Atar, God of Doom, attempting to bring about the end of the world by summoning his harbingers of the Doom, the Prime Demons.

The six of them erupted across the world, and Hralldan and his companions traveled across it, slaying them each one by one. Until they reached the sixth, and the most powerful. Nothing else is known of the sixth beyond the sorrowful tale Hralldan's companions shared of Hralldan channeling the power of his God to seal it away, and they each swore to never speak of it again lest some villain seek it out to once again unleash it upon the world.
