Daerdun is the youngest child of three born to Lorsid StoneKeg and Rannia StoneKeg, and is the current owner of The Stone Keg Brewery and Pub. When Daerdun was a wee young lad, his eldest sibling and brother Godrick StoneKeg left Helbaurg on a quest to find the legendary Keg of Everflow, but never returned. Around the time Daerdun grew old enough to start learning how to run the family business, his sister Gemnura StoneKeg (the middle child) was accepted into the Sanctuary of Knowledge as a Mage's Apprentice, and shunned by Clan StoneKeg for not keeping the family tradition and taking over the business. After about ten years of running The Stone Keg with his parents, Daerdun's father met his unfortunate demise in a particularly bad storm while helping people get to shelter (at least that's what Daerdun was told. In actuality, Lorsid StoneKeg was behind in paying "dues" from a multiple-generation spanning debt of Clan StoneKeg). For several more years Daerdun and his mother ran the family business, but during the violent takeover of Helbaurg by the Society of the Emerald Condor Rannia StoneKeg was slain. Daerdun was left by himself to run The Stone Keg, and very quickly learned of his family's illicit dealings (mostly as spies, informants, and poisoners) and the unfathomable debt that had been accrued with the criminal underground of Helbaurg. Daerdun now finds himself working for the criminal underground in order to try and pay off decades of his family's debt and hold onto Clan StoneKeg's generation-old business.
