Moliadia

Moliadia is relatively new colony opererated by the Asentai Family, most of it settlers as such are from the guild and other people from The Republics. The city is currently under hard times, the local lizardfolk have been increasing hostile towards them, as they further there intrest in the jungles timber for ships and housing, and their attempts to make the local area of their settlement more susceptible for agriculture to lessen their dependence on fishing and hunting in the dangerous jungle. The Recent destruction of Xer'Pakti has not lessened the tumultuous times for the settlers, as the influx of Koanka natives, as seen an impromptu ghetto of Koanko spring up, the diffrent poeples now struggle to find common ground. With the death of many members of the leading cast, the survivors face uncertain times, as the few remaining attempt to assert their positions over one another, leading many leaderless and afraid, with some of the leaders believing their people are being exploiting for cheap labor by the settlers, and others attempting to curry favor to gain power, as such some try distance themselves from the settlers to preserve their identity and indepence while other try to make make their peoples lives easier and more bearable in these troubling times. There are those amongst both parties that would see such tensions sprung to live to further their interest, or to save their people, the Asentai have been attempting to cull unrest between the parties. Though the problem remains, is there food enough for both peoples, and work enough for all, can they cooperate or will they be forced to take a stand.

Node to the West

The city serves as a strategic node for many ships from Adalanta Shipping who use the cities ports to resupply, repair and ply their goods on the long journey towards the serpent islands and the western kingdoms. As such the city sees many strange and exotic people and wares pass by it's harbour.

Home To Explorers

As one of the rare bastions of "proper" civilization this far south, the city has become home to many groups of explorers who have set up permanent residence in the city cheif amongst which is an enclave from the guild Arkos

Uncertain prospects

The city has long relied on the cheap labor forces it's internment caps of slaves purchased from Adalanta Shipping. However a recent riot has thrown chaos into the order of the city, as the slaves made a bloody revolt in a bid for their freedom. Not only has it robed them of it's main labour force, it now also means that in the deep jungles wanders a marauding group of Orcs and pirates who have for now, thrown their lot together.

Government

The city is run by the Asentai Overseas Trading And Lumber representative Darnaldo Asentai, the guild runs all things administrative in the city, aswell has paying for more public work endeavors, such as the city guard, the Merchant courts, local mercenary, guild sponsored work.   Though non guild members can live here, and even run businesses they will find that there is a slight increase in taxes, perhaps a bit more leniency towards vandalism on their properity, but in the end there are no official requirements about membership, only official bonuses.

Defences

The city is protected by a palisade, that runs from beach-end to beach-end, with one gate for access to the rest of the island. The city has a signicant amount of ships in it's harbor, most being merchant ships, but they still posses some long range canons. The city has a Militia of some 30 members, and has hired a mercenary company "The Silver Slayers" who consist of 50 members, aswell as having a few professional guards from the guild's own retinue the Asentai Fire Plates.

Industry & Trade

Most in the settlement work the lumber mill, to produce the city's lifeblood, the timber that sees them expand and export, fewer work the local dye workshops that produce ofcourse dyes, in shades of purple and yellow, from the local flora. The city has a sizable inn presence, as many ships set anchor at their ports for restorcking of supplies and rest before moving on, many adventures come by to explore the relativly uncharted jungles, which sees a precense of merchant's selling equipment needed for such exploratory efforts, and some to produce some of these wares, hunting is dangerous as such few take to it, many instead fish to earn a living and feed the city.

Infrastructure

The City being rather new, and build on relativly loose soil, requires a lot work to have prober foundations build, as such the city has from it's birth had a requirement for a great deal of lumber, for building and selling timber, a great saw mill dominates the northern city, and sees it's prime exports, along side dyes made from local workshops extracted from the natural flora of the jungle, the city is a prime and bustling place, a great sense of development of progress has filled the city, as what was merely a small harbor is growing into a wealthy city.

Guilds and Factions

The Asentai Guild holds sway over most of the city, operating it's harbor and most of it's businesses, but it is no secret that much of the guild's backing comes from Adalanta Shipping and Arkos who also hold considerable sway in the city, which has let to tension between some of it's citizenry.   That and the native Koanka who have taken refuge in the city have begun to hold some sway as they begin to become an ever more integral part of the city, serving as cheap labour, guides and hunters.
