Jalash Karnoch is a former militia captain, and now the warlord leader of a band of marauding brigands on the Plains of Daraneen.
His raiders have attacked the scattered villages and hamlets that dot the coast and inland plains. Small communities have been burned, their people driven off or killed, and livestock stolen.
