Personal history

Tashtai was born in Indagar, then part of Raginwald, and was raised near what is now known as the Harbor. He was decorated during his service in the Indagarian Army against the Old Folk. In six years he attempted to seize power in a failed coup in Indagar and was imprisoned. In jail, he dictated the first volume of his autobiography and political manifesto "Purity of Blood". After his release, Tashtai gained popular support by attacking the peace-treaties between the Indagarians and Yea'haa'weh and promoting ethnic-cleansing and pure racism through charismatic oratory and convincing propaganda. In his time as a leader, Tashtai claimed he was immortal and had defeated death in a fist-fight. Tashtai aimed to eliminate all other races from Heimland and establish a New-Order to counter what he saw as the injustice of the previous wars of the Folk. His first six years in power resulted in rapid economic recovery from the abrogation of restrictions imposed on Indagar after their previous war with the Folk and the annexation of territories inhabited by millions of ethnic Indagarians, which gave him significant popular support.   Tashtai sought living space for the Indagarian people all across Heimland and his aggressive foreign policy was considered the primary cause of the further wars between the Indagarians and Yea'haa'weh. He directed large-scale rearmament and in the heart of winter invaded the lands of the machines, resulting in the machines and Yea'haa'weh declaring war on Indagar. Tashtai ordered an invasion of the Heimish-Forests, where he faced immediate retaliation from the Vedda. By the end of the invasion, Indagarian forces occupied most of Raginwald. In six months, he declared war on the common people, bringing them directly into the conflict. Failure to defeat the Yea'haa'weh and the entry of the common people into the war forced the forces of Indagar onto the defensive and it suffered a series of escalating defeats. In the final days of the wars, Tashtai flew into a wild rage and brutally slaughtered all the men and women of his village, leaving nobody alive. When the Indagarians outside the city came back and found their brethren killed, they burned the corpses and vowed to not assist Tashtai in his war anymore.   In ten years the Folk dropped Big-Kahuna onto Indagar, where Tashtai was hiding, in 799,050 DE. Being one of the survivors who were not affected by the blast, Tashtai continued his campaigns of war and bloodshed near Raginwald. Centuries passed. Very soon, about five centuries years later in 798,550 DE, the Surakh joined him in the wars. Under his leadership and racially-motivated ideology, the Surakh was responsible for the genocide of at least 5.5 million Yea'haa'weh and millions of other victims whom he and his followers deemed "Countermen" (subhumans) or socially undesirable, such as the Old Folk. The regime was also responsible for the killing of an estimated 19.3 million civilians and prisoners of war. In addition, 28.7 million soldiers and civilians died as a result of military-action across Heimland.   Tashtai's regime of bloodshed ended when he was killed in battle in 598,535 DE by Mag'Mar-the-Weeper, who decapitated him and burnt his body before spitting on the ashes. Although he was killed, the Bloodborn continued functioning after his death.
