The Dreamstride

The Dreamstride is a metaphysical plane formed by the magic of the Dreaming Oaks, a race of sentient trees native to Eastwythe. The trees communicate through dreams, and powerful magic can bring those thoughts to reality. The druids in the Councils of Briar Glen are known by a few to practice Fae magic, drawing strength and vitality from the realm.
Druids and Fae powerful enough can use the creative freedom within the Dreamstride to perform miraculous feats of magic. Some examples are seen in earlier accounts of Vesser Rantari Highmore; travelling through the plane in a form of teleportation. This is possible because the Dreamstride is anchored to the known world through the roots of the Oaks, allowing portals to be created in and out of the dimension.
Not much else is known about the Dreamstride or how it truly exists; the aforementioned druid Vesser the Lesser holds the most experience with the realm. During his adventures as a member of the Argent Company, Vesser destroyed the anchors connecting the two realms, effectively destroying the Dreamstride in a plot to punish an Archfey known as the Amber Lord.
Today, the Dreamstride is lost and exists only in memories and archives. However, the power of communicating with the trees is what drove inspiration for the discovery of ancient Primordial magic.
