City Watch of Novaček

The City Watch of Novaček (Sevnóni: Straż Gorodska Novaček), also known as the Evening Guard or simply The Watch, is a quasi-military institution some 1,200 strong, sanctioned by the Sovereign to provide law enforcement as well as perform the services of public safety, fire watch, and crime prevention in Sevnónicha's capital city. The Watch is led by a Commander, and its members swear allegiance directly to the Crown. Since the tenure of Commander Kastus Iharovich (395 - 407 AU), many watchmen carry small silver pendants fastened to their cuirass in some manner, minorly enchanted to deflect glancing blows and ward against hostile magic.
