The armor on their tanks is thick enough to take fire from RPGs and most missiles. One of the only things that can penetrate is the impact of a laser-based weapon.
The standard layout of the LAM is 140 mm gun paired with a duel M2 fifty caliber machine guns. The body of the LA has been modified during assembly and can replace both weapons. The 140 mm gun can come off and be replaced by two independent 30 mm seven-barrel Gatling-cannon, flamethrowers (rarely), grenade launcher, or it's armor is thickened and a transponder is placed on top. The last one is a design that links directly with artillery and sends information back while it takes damage. The M2 can also be traded out for an automatic shotgun that can be mounted onto the front. The shotguns tend to be more versatile and able to deal with crowds more efficiently. They have also added things like grenade or missile launchers, which are fired from the driver's view.
The cannons of the tank can fire thirty rounds per minute. Rarely do the crew of the LAMs manages to get to this number. The tank crews average just over twenty rounds per minute. The targeting system is able to lock onto any enemy the spotter tags. The spotter can also highlight enemies for the LAM-8's secondary gunner.
The model will move at an average speed of forty-five miles an hour.
