House Udaku

The Royal Family of Udaku was the second to discover Halruaal and colonized the heartland of the island country. Known for their bronze and brown skin tone, they’ve adapted to the heat of the southern province of Halruaal and expanded to nearly every corner of the country. Udaku is heavily focus on family and community, as such men and women have nearly complete equality and enjoy similar freedoms towards every profession. Known for their skill as diplomats and their steady agricultural economy, House Udaku is recognized as the most moderate House in terms of governing. Still, the Royal family very much adheres to the belief in the Magisterium and rule by wizards.

Specializing in Enchantment, the Royal family is known for their uncanny ability to alter the minds and hearts of all those they come in contact with - and not only through the use of magic. Mysteriously, members of the Royal Family seem to have some kind of supernatural power to influence anyone to do practically anything they want. Arguably the most loved by the common people (aside from the elven nation), House Udaku has found it hard to follow the more conservative aspects of House Blackharbour, House Hanover, and Clan Oni. This alone has put them in a traditionally strained position with the more technological and magically infused Houses. Still, being backed by both House Aetius and Odinson helps to enforce their outlook on society.

However, House Udaku is not entirely without scandal or fault. Their ancestors were the first to enslave the elven people that were native to Halruaal. During this time, elves were considered property and intermingling was heavily discouraged. Half-elven children were normally killed upon discovery and even though House Udaku later recanted and freed the elves several generations prior, many remember the long period of oppression. Not to mention intermingling is still considered tabooed, a taboo hat passed to all the other Houses save for House Romanos.
