Aenor

The Island of Kos is home to the largest and most secure jail in all of Halruaal, Aenor (Ay-en-or), Hall of the Forgotten. The size of a small city, the prison is noted for its success in holding wizards of magister level abilities. The mountain fortress has seen all manner of dark wizards, criminal warlords, and conspirators without ever having a single escape. Many among the other houses are curious as to the methods employed, yet for centuries House Aetius and House Odinson have kept the secret to its power all the while maintaining its allegiance to Royal House of Udaku.

Purpose / Function

A Legion of White Oak members live in and guard the fortress of Aenor. The White Oak has been wardens and sentinels against rogue magic use and Aenor itself it meant to contain threats too dangerous (or useful) to destroy.

Alterations

Over the years, as the fortress has grown, many new cells have been carved from the fully exploited mines below the mountains.  with each new ward, a new layer of wards and walls have been crafted to signify the growing security.

Architecture

All of the construction of Aenor is made of Wardstone.  Aenor's mountain range is rich with the unusual ore, almost rivaling Carteia's deposits.
