The Ateki-Ziraz Bards produced centuries of wandering healers - but had humble beginnings as a hilltop refuge in wartorn Gwalan. They were originally a foreign ethnic group with distinct religious practices, but have seen been accepted as Sunekan. The semi-Sunekan Masrika ethnic group, tolerated by many republics, is descended from this commune
