Squiddle

Squiddles look like large squid with unusually articulate tentacles and mottled grey, white, black, brown, and red coloration. They are often wrapped in kelp clothing. Squiddles are pastoral, rural, and sometimes nomadic. Naturally intuitive of their environment and connected to one another deeply, squiddles have close-knit clans that wander along the continental shelves herding large domesticated crabs. - As Player Characters, Squiddles have the following statistics:

Genetics and Reproduction

Squiddles produce egg sacks that are fertilized externally and carried and protected by a member or members of the community. These pockets, one foot across, contain 1-5 viable squiddle eggs that develop, producing small batches of reliable offspring over the course of 4 months.

Growth Rate & Stages

Squiddles, like the other aquatic races live comparatively short lives, usually 25-50 years. Their childhoods, however, are extremely brief- their brains develop quickly, and they master speech and movement within weeks to months of hatching.
