Second Kivish Scouring

The Second Kivish Scouring was an ancient series of apocalyptic wars that raged in short bursts from 574 to 850 ME.    The Second Scouring was, in many ways, a continuation of the First Kivish Scouring immediately preceding it. Where the First Scouring refers to the initial bloody march across North Stildane, the Second Scouring refers to the terrible civil wars and brutal suppressed rebellions across the early Empire of Kizen.   Generally speaking, the Second Scouring's most intense period was the 574 to 600 ME period, when the Kivish Horde was forced to stop advancing Southward and began to suffer rebellions and infighting. However, the hyper-violent suppression of rebellion and mass enslavement of border tribes continued until the 800s ME, so some scholars place the Second Scouring as only ending in 850 ME (with the creation of a stable imperial bureaucracy and legal code).
