Lady Idala Lorazir

Lady Idala Lorazir is a gentry-merchant in Kreniko, and is one of the three heads of the Lorazir family. 
The Lorazirs are a rural family involved in sugar refineries and military logistics in other parts of the Vice-Kingdom of Mikena; Idala is the first of the family to really build a presence in the regional capital city of Kreniko itself. Over this ambitious career, she befriended and romanced the Lord Usurper Kelka Akuzir - co-parenting his adopted daughter Lady Malwa Akuzir. When Kelka launched his rebellion, Idala sheltered their pseudo-daughter and eventually spurned the rebellion for family's sake. This began a feud between herself and her semi-daughter Malwa, though she was rewarded generously by Prince Mazaru Eramzir for her betrayal. While Idala's ex-lover is publicly known as a traitor and witch, she is still remembered as a traitor and is spurned by elite society. 
Idala is not the traitor people say she is, not quite: the Usurper Kelka had planned for this "betrayal" as a way to save their daughter if the rebellion lost inertia. Idala did lose hope for forceful change when the rebellion failed. All she wants is to keep herself and Malwa safe, to weather the storm. She is a caotious, somber, and precise person, always careful in her words and actions. Idala is polite and open-minded; quick to obey social decorum but not particularly limited by social expectations.
