Vihrus, God Of Stars And Night (Vih-Russ)

Vihrus is the God of Stars And Night, as well as the God Of Safe Passage and Bad Luck. He is one of the four 'Creator Gods' - The four siblings born from the chaotic early formation of the world of Haedras, and who arranged it's combative elements into a form acceptable to life. He is known as a stoic, loyal god, but cursed with bad luck in love and family. The curse stems from the early days of Haedras' creation when, while combatting the elements of the night sky, Vihrus cast down the Elemental Witch Pareatha. As she fell from the sky, she cursed him to never be able to keep hold of true happiness - to always know it's touch then have it ripped away.    Since that fateful time, Vihrus has taken three wives, all of whom met untimely ends. His first wife, the Aether Elemental Nallisa, bore him his first child, The Goddess Yellenis, who grew to create the Elves and become a spiteful, horrific force, widely considered one of the most evil gods. Seeing their daughter grow into this role, Nallisa, out of shame, cast herself into the sun. His second wife, The Void Titan Hartha, bore him the twins, Rheyja, Goddess Of Inevitable Change and Rhodas, God Of Insanity And Struggle but died in childbirth. Neither of these children brought true happiness to Vihrus either, as Rhodas hated him and tried to overthrow him, and Rheyja treated him with the same cold indifference she has for every being. His third wife, Ullina, an Orc Demigod and daughter of his Nephew, Mestrian, God Of Swords And Spears, bore him triplets, Orthias, Grathian, and Lisith. But, at the moment of their birth, the triplets were stolen away by vengeful Void Titans, and scattered into The Great Dark, becoming the Lost Gods. Ullina died not long after at her Father's hand, an act which has set Vihrus and Mestrian at odds for some time.   Despite his frosty demeanour, and his role as the God Of Bad Luck, Vihrus is regarded as a good aligned God. To many he IS the night sky, and they named the three moons of Haedras in honour of his lost children. His followers clash on occasion with the followers of Mestrian, still sore over the killing of their God's wife by her own Father, but they also make it their main aim to hunt down and slay those who worship the Void Titans, as vengeance for the theft of his children.   In artwork, Vihrus is depicted as an old, powerful orc of grey blue skin, black hair, with his ears made of meteor gold, and powerful, sad, red eyes. Those lucky enough to commune with him directly describe a field of stars, incomprehensibly large, that radiates a feeling of welcoming, power, and terrible loss.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Vihrus is one of the more unknowable of the Gods, choosing to keep quiet his aims and goals most of the time, lest more misfortune befall him. One thing is clear though - His hatred of the Void Titans, and his wish to see those who stole his children from him to be eliminated.
