Back o' Beyond

Back o' Beyond is a highly forested area located within the Whetstone region. It's eerie nature and isolated nature have led to it becoming one of the most common areas investigated for myths. Notably, it is home to both Bigfoot and the Ghost Cars.  

Description

Back o' Beyond is a heavily forested region located in the south of San Andreas. It is a heavily isolated and rural area, consisting of a large forest interspersed with large cliff and rock formations.  

Points of Interest

  • Horseshoes: The 'horseshoes' are two horseshoe shaped rocks near to the entrance of Back o' Beyond. The horseshoes are one of the spawn-points for the Ghost Cars, which spawn and roll down the hills.
  • Bloodpool: The Bloodpool is a pool of water in the centre of Back o' Beyond. It is is the origin point of all of the myths in Storymode.
 

Myths

  • Bigfoot: In Storymode, Bigfoot can be found at the end of the story at the Bloodpool. Carl Johnson, along with Eve Matthews, manage to defeat Bigfoot and close the Bloodpool, thus ending the Advent of the Myths. In Freemode, Bigfoot can be found at a variety of locations all around Back o' Beyond surrounding regions.
  • Ghost Cars: In Storymode, a Ghost Car is encountered during the mission Heart of the Woods. In Freemode, Ghost Cars can be found in a few locations around Back o' Beyond, including at the horseshoes and nearby fields.
 

Trivia

The Bloodpool is inspired and named after the pool of water in SCP-354 , also nicknamed the Blood Pool. The Pool in-game was meant to be shaded red to live up to its namesake, but due to engine limitations, was not possible.
