Sherpburg Tax Codes
Overview
Tax codes and how they relate to the province of Sherpburg.
Citizens
Private citizens that belong to one of the established protected groups in Sherpburg, as established by The Council of the Final Hunt, specifically referring to recognized adventuring guilds, government office, and religious institutions, are exempt from paying tax on any business conducted between two parties inside of the province of Sherpburg or Veircourt, or the city of Hallbefeld. Any business conducted with a group outside of the listed regions will pay tax according to any profits made in accordance to the regions tax code with a minimum tax rate of fifteen percent.
Private citizens not associated with a protected group will be subject to a standard flat rate income tax of twenty percent of all earnings. Any earnings, coming via pillage of peoples or organizations classified as criminals in reference to the National Mage Registry and the Council of the Final Hunt must be declared. At time of tax collection during the month of Licht, any private citizen not associated with a protected group must under go an interview with a certified tax collector per standard Amer policy including but not limited to compulsion to tell the truth via magical means.
Guilds
In accordance with the Three Moons Council, the guilds of Sherpburg, as recognized by the The Council of the Final Hunt, will be responsible for paying a tax on all guild activities. The tax rate for each guild shall be calculated by the following formula:
Number of Guild Members/ ( (Number of Deaths caused by Guild Business/ Resurrection of Guild Members) -(Number of Guild Members/ Number of members in the smallest Guild ) + 15 percent of all profits made by the guild + Number of each level of healing or ressurection spell cast on guild members/ Number of Guild Members.
Private Businesses
All private business not associated with a protected group as established by The Council of the Final Hunt will face a tax of forty percent on all business conducted inside of or outside of the province, regardless of parties involved.
Churches
All religious organizations recognized as a protected group by The Council of the Final Hunt are exempt from tax in the province of Sherpburg. In addition, each church shall receive reimbursement for all healing and resurrection spells cast on a member of a recognized protected group.
