Pugphy
Pugphy, the Goddess of the Moon, Night, and Vengence, is seen a dark and beautiful woman who is cunning and devious. She has a quick tempered but once she calms down she is very patient. She teaches that time heals all wounds, especially if you wait for the perfect moment to strike. She uses her guile and beauty to get the revenge she so longs for.
Long ago Pugphy’s domain extended far beyond what it currently holds. Many of the gods believed that she was becoming greedy and was corrupting some of her domains. So many of the gods forced her to yield some of her domain. She and her children resisted but could not stand against the combined might of so many gods. Many of her followers believe her to be simply biding her time and plotting to regain her former power and revenge.
Her followers are surprisingly numerous, as both dwarven kingdoms and the dark elves worship her. On the individual level Pugphy’s followers tend to be very patient and bit arrogant.
Pugphy has had a few lovers of the millennia, including the god Rubicon. She has three powerful children Arachnia, Scorpius, and Serpentus.
She is not in open opposition to any of the gods but many believe her to be working against many of the gods particularly Odes and Hidum.

Holy Books & Codes
The Book Of Grudges
The Book of Grudges is a codex kept my many temples of Pugphy. In each book a tally is kept of all the acts incure a debt or grudge. Each time vengence is taken, the act is crossed out in a celebration; the older the grudge, the bigger the celebration. It is said both Mirathis and Gittimoore have their own Book of Grudges that are exclusively about the other.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
A Porcelian Mask
This symbol represents Pugphy's beauty and her brokeness. A prestine porcelian mask barring one crack. Members of her faith often will wear these masks, and create the crack themselves as sort of dedication. When depicted in imagery, the eyes are either hollow or have a serpent like eye.
A Full Moon with a Serpent's Eye
This Symbol combines her new domain and her old. THe unblinking eye of the night, as some call it, represents the unending focus of Pugphy's vengence and her plans moving in the darkness.
A Belladona
Representing the beauty and the hidden dangers of the goddess. Many see followers keep or grow belladona, and the tapestries and cloaks often have depictions of the flower. It is also considered one of the more sacred weapons of the followers of Pugphy. Many also use the flower as inspiration, using the beauty and sweetness to hide their true intents.
Tenets of Faith
Suffering is the ink that writes destiny
Pain fuels purpose. Those who have suffered have been blessed with clarity. The weak weep; the strong sharpen their fangs.
“You are forged by your wounds. Do not let them close before you have written your vengeance.”
A smile can be sharper than a dagger.
Deception, charm, and patience are sacred arts to those who walk Pugphy’s path.
“Those who underestimate the beautiful forget that roses have thorns.”
Revenge is sweetest when your enemy thanks you before they fall.
Manipulation is sacred. Followers should use charm, guile, and cunning to get close to their enemies before striking. Some of Pugphy’s greatest followers befriend their enemies first, gaining their trust before betraying them in the most painful way possible.
All debts must be repaid—whether in blood, suffering, or ruin.
A follower must never forget a wrong done to them, nor let an enemy go unpunished. Some believe in recording betrayals in sacred books, so no grudge is ever lost.
Rituals
The Trial of Spilled Ink (A Ritual for Long-Term Vengeance)
A secretive ritual where followers write their grievance on parchment and submerge it in black ink or blood. Many believe that once the ink is spilled, fate itself will work to bring their enemy down, detailing how to bring about the downfall.
The Death Mask Rite (A Ritual of Anonymity and Judgment)
Before enacting revenge, an assassin or warrior of Pugphy makes a death mask of both themselves and their target. The acolyte will wear their own mask throughout the task, it is said the blessing of Pugphy keeps their identity secret even in death. If the acoylte succeeds and eliminates the target, they must place the other mask on their victim as an offering to Pughpy.
The Last Shadow (To Become a Wraith of Pugphy’s Vengeance)
A dark and forbidden ritual in modern days. The follower stands beneath an eclipse, cutting away their shadow with a ritual dagger. As the shadow disappears, they feel their mortal self fade—becoming something inhuman, untouchable, unseen in the light. It is said that those who complete this ritual no longer age, no longer leave footprints, and can never be captured.
