Mukhtaar el-Asad
Charismatic, driven, and with a touch of rebellion, Mukhtaar el-Asad is a man of many layers—a savvy businessman by day and a seeker of excitement by night.
Mukhtaar el-Asad arrived in the Free City of Greyhawk just over a year ago, driven by an ambitious goal: to expand his family’s vast business empire into the eastern lands. As the twelfth son of the immensely wealthy Saabir el-Asad, Mukhtaar enjoys a position of rare privilege. Deeply favored by his father, he was entrusted with the important mission of establishing lucrative ventures within the city—a task he has embraced with determination and flair.
Currently, Mukhtaar operates a thriving silk stall in the bustling High Market, where his exotic wares draw the eye of Greyhawk’s elite. Alongside this, he manages a profitable steel export business to his homeland of Zeif. Yet Mukhtaar’s ambitions extend far beyond these ventures, and he is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities to expand his reach.
He resides in a small but lavishly decorated apartment beside the Red Serpent Restaurant in the Foreign Quarter, a space that reflects his refined tastes and cosmopolitan upbringing. Most evenings, he can be found dining on the spiced rice dishes served below, a favorite comfort from home. Mukhtaar is also a regular patron of the Blue Dragon Inn, where he mingles with merchants and adventurers alike.
However, Mukhtaar harbors a secret indulgence: he frequently attends the underground fighting events at The Pit, drawn to the thrill and the gambling that surrounds them. This habit is one he keeps carefully hidden, knowing full well that his conservative father would disapprove of such activities.

Naas Siobharek identified Mukhtaar's name in the codded scroll found near High Ery. Naas has not deciphered enough of the scroll to know more, and it is unclear if he is a target or a conspirator. Our investigation into Mukhtaar has yielded no results. The only odd activity was when Mukhtaar visited Duke Garand's. Perhaps this is tied to Mukhataar's betting activities; we wil have to peruse the connection.
