About

Beiric Reybon was born in 3606. He's the son of Estrid and Hallmund, and the grandson of Garund and Helga. He comes from a long line of rulers over the human population in Grendor, dating all the way back to when his ancestor, Maelon, first landed on the shores of the Laughton Channel. His mother, Estrid, died in childbirth aged 22. His father, Hallmund, died in the Battle Of Thunderston in 3605 aged 56. There is some speculation as to his real father as the timings of Estrid's pregnancy don't quite add up to when Hallmund went to fight in 3605.
Beiric assumed the throne at the age of 10, and married his childhood sweetheart, Hunfray, when he was 18. His grandfather, Garund, re-assumed the throne from 3606 to 3616 when he passed away in his sleep. A council of trusted advisors, put together by Garund before his passing, guided Beiric until his 18th birthday and his coronation. The young King then disbanded the council, confident in his ability to rule.
When he turned 22, Beiric came down with an unknown illness. No physician can find a cure, and so the King finds himself confined to his bed most days, unable to be in the sun for much longer than an hour at a time. He's become reliant on his husband, Hunfray, to help rule over the ever growing kingdom. However, he is unaware that Hunfray seeks to destroy all fae folk, and is a member of the Brothers Of Streinthrar. Beiric wanted to grow peace and trust between the nations, not war.

Other: Often has a thick beard which goes against the traditional dress code for the royal family

Arc/Personality

Beiric genuinely wants what is best for the human species, as well as those that they co-habit the world with. He saw what the fight against the fae did to his father and grandfather and decided not to make that mistake. Instead, he wants to foster a strong relationship between the various creatures and magick folk who live side-by-side with humans. However, with the inability to leave the castle, he's unaware of just how close to all-out war the humans are. On top of that, his love for Hunfray blinds him to any possible hints that his husband is up to no good.
