About

Hunfray is the only son of highborn and close confident to King Hallmund, Halvik Svandor. He was brought up in the royal castle and attended lessons alongside the young king-to-be, Beiric. Their friendship grew strong and, when they were 18, the pair got married. However happy Hunfray is with the love of his life, he can't ignore the burning rage he feels for fae folk and blames magick in general for his mother's untimely demise. An elven healer could have saved her after her carriage was driven off the road and she broke her back, but the King's alw clearly stated that no form of magick was to enter the walls of Maelis. Hunfray was just 6 when he attended his mother's funeral.
In the year 3650, Hunfray began a new regime. Any fae folk he or his soldiers came across would be tortured, at length, to find out about any magick abilities they may have before they were murdered. No war was officially started and so his actions count as a multitude of war crimes according to human law, let alone the law of the other species in the world. As he sends his forces further into the world, Hunfray is grasping control of ports, villages, new soldiers and, most importantly, killing off the fae "skum" he wants to rid the world of. Beiric has no idea about this.

Other: Is always wearing two rings; that to show his marriage to Beiric, and the other a signet ring with a crow upon it

Arc/Personality

Hunfray was a good child and his love for Beiric is true, but his deep-seated hatred for fae folk wins over all of it. He is determined to rid the world of all fae and magick, convinced that this will make the world a better and safer place. As Beiric is too ill to leave the castle, he takes on the responsibility of keeping an eye on things, making sure to report back to the King what is happening throughout the Kingdom. This power has lead Hunfray to a lot of dark paths, including becoming the leader of the Brothers Of Streinthrar. He is dangerous, and without mercy.
