Mount Asturga (As-terr-gah)

Mount Asturga is a dormant Volcano on the outskirts of Green Run, Home to a series of Hiking Trails and the state of the art Observatory built by the Green Run Scientific Society (GRSS). More recently, a path was paved up the mountain allowing for vehicles to be driven up the mountain rather than hiking up or taking the gondola lift.   Mount Asturga is a popular spot for Hikers in the spring and summer and has a small skiing and snowboarding scene in the winter months, having been renovated in the early 60s by Mayor Wilson's Administration in an attempt to bolster Green Run's economy. While not instant, his investment paid off in the end, bringing in townsfolk and tourists alike.

Localized Phenomena

During thunderstorms, purple lightning can be seen occasionally striking the top of the mountain, caught by the massive lightning rod atop the Observatory.
