Synapse Strain

A blanket term used to label the strain that modifications put onto AMPs. Too much strain and the Machine-Mind can become strained, overheat, and eventually perish if the problem is left for too long.

The more a Machine-Mind gets used to its platform, the greater amount of Strain that their systems can handle without negative affect. New models also tend to be able to handle more strain, due to being able to offload it to non-critical systems more efficiently and with less resource loss.
