The highly complex layered neural net that is required to contain and simulate the intricacies of a human mind and it's supercomputer levels of computations and thoughts. 
Because of this, it is the most important part of the Autonomous Mental Platform, and it's largest vulnerable part. Weapons meant to deal with 'M's usually target this part through smart ammunition, explosives, nanite virus, or High intensity electrical impulse.

Nanotech is heavily used within making the incredibly complex pathways within the Machine-Minds.

Access & Availability

Machine-Minds are one of the most commonly used pieces of technology in this day and age, though the vast majority of organic peoples couldn't even begin to tell you how they work. While they are widely used to contain a human mind, they are also used for the less sentient machines in the world. Warmachines, large drones, synthetic animals. It must only be slightly modified for the processes and behaviors it will hold.

Complexity

Incredibly complex, though that isn't uncommon for technologies in this day and age. In fact, it would be a bit strange for a piece of technology to not be layered with many others.
