Provost's Office

As it is clergy responsible for ruling on trials at the Beacon, this is deemed a conflict of interest for anyone except commoners. The first and second estates certainly can't expect to be tried in the same manner as plebians, of course! The provosts office handles abuses of station. Clergy, nobles, and advocati are referred to the Provost's Office for accusations of impropriety and tried separately from the typical judicial system at the Beacon.   The office is also able to be appealed to by commoners who can make a case that their conviction was the result of a conflict of interest or abuse of power.
