THE EVOLUTIONARY STAGES
1. So man would keep developing tech, leading to the breakthrough of the Eret Si’nu.
2. As the “ether” exists on planes “higher” than our initial 3 dimensions, they would be the key to discovering Jei’Suul. Basically leading man to there.
3. Through the Potential, itself discovered through interaction with the Eret Si’nu, man gains access to the lands of the Vala’Suun. Of course, they do what man always does. They attempt some form of conquering.
4. In abducting the Vala’Suun (some representatives thereof), they get to discover the process that will allow them to become “The Ulta.”
5. Overusage of the Eret Si’nu (ironically) leads to the depletion/destruction of Earth. Man,
now turned Ulta (at least at the top of the food chain), must seek new lands to
colonize.
6. Off they go! Now things begin to look similar. Lost colonies and all. Others discovering worlds
suitable and establishing an intergalactic Hegemony by “spreading out” a bit across multiple
habitable worlds.
7. They can only deal with just so many Vala’Suun. Plus they’ve seemed to have lost the ability to reproduce, outside their own dimension. This would naturally be The Solti. So, the Kelti could raise either through Ulta experimentation upon the Solti, or - as previously - they always were a lower caste amongst the Vala’Suun. But why would they be able to reproduce?
8. So if the Ulta saw a need to “continue” the Vala’Suun lines without returning to Jei’Suul (perhaps something they no longer can do due to some cataclysm on that world - itself caused by a battle between man and “elf”).
The Solti protested anything risking themselves or otherwise putting their genetic fate in the hands of these “arisen apes.” So a compromise… The Solti would select members of their own existing “lower caste” (perhaps already called the Kelti, but currently with no real genetic variation) for experimentation (also having begrudgingly seen the practicality in continuing their species). Their conditions: they are always in charge of selection (no surprises!) & they are also allowed to benefit from the results (they get to keep their servitor caste intact).
9. The reason why the Solti are afforded a measure of respect/consultation stems from the fact that really only they alone can command the “masses” of abducted Vala’Suun... as the
Kelti have always been (via tradition) relegated to serving them.
Plus, the Solti are wise, and the Ulta recognize this. They almost aspire to be more like them. There’s a degree of admiration (tempered with a good dose of wrathful jealousy).
10. So now we have the Ulta truly turning the Kelti into a legitimate sub-race, in that now only they can procreate. But to control this, or possibly by accident,. They can only mate with “un-evolved” men.
11. This could actually be the thing to trigger the Ulta to seek out “primitive man-stock.” For even though they solved the Vala’Suun continuance problem, the Kelti still need “man” to reproduce (so their not quite out of the woods yet).
12. Lest we forget, the Ulta cannot themselves reproduce. Their own “ascension” has left them sterile. But, since now they are effectively “immortal,” it’s less of a concern. Plus, fewer Ulta means fewer usurpers to their burgeoning, galactic “kingdom.” Bonus!
13. This is not to say there’s never to be any new Ulta coming into being. They’re simply "vetted properly" and ascended only when deemed useful to the Hegemony rulers. Still, they must come from somewhere…
14. So the Vala’Suun are used for less menial tasks. To ensure their cooperation. Secretly, the Ulta still fear them at least somewhat. And the Kelti are too few in number to really do enough for their Hegemony.
15. What man-stock the Ulta already have (it would make sense that in ascension, they wouldn’t simply evolve everyone. Plus, not everyone would want to do it) must be protected, for they still remain the core of the Hegemony, keeping the gears of the Empire turning.
16. The lower castes of man must at least hold the illusion (to some degree) of “free will.” They are not enslaved in the classic sense. No chains, or anything. And they have access to technology and education (as it best serves the Hegemony). This naturally leads to a society that’s fundamentally
aware of any tom-foolery pulled at the hands of their galactic masters.
17. So, man being man, what they might never want or accept for themselves, they’d be fine applying to others. In that sense, when the Ulta need a more “subservient” or “slave” stock, they need to cull it from somewhere. Therein lies the core purpose behind the Survey Teams.
18. NOTE - Could there also be the added driver of some sort of “sickness” spreading throughout the
Hegemony. One that is lowering the birthrate amongst (un-evolved) humans? Could the surveyors also be seeking new human stock to experiment/compare them vs their own afflicted humans? Maybe even help find a cure? If so, what would be the cause behind the growing sterility of man?
19. Perhaps as even the lower caste of “natural” humans continues to “benefit” from the essential life
draining properties of the Eret Si’nu, the very same properties are feeding off their reproductive
Potential (see what I did there?).
20. This makes sense, and also produces another reason why the future of humanity is doomed if not changed from its current course. Something the Oracles (Far-Seers) have “half-seen.” The
Eret Si’nu, though rather amazing, is not conducive to humanity’s health. It has its own agenda and biological imperative. Also, it never asked to be used in such a manner.
21. Man seeks invention at his own risk. There’s always the risk… the temptation even… to offer
up to the gods of progress, the very thing that truly makes them “human.” Almost looks like we got ourselves a pretty little THEME here.
