SERVANTS OF THE ULTA

THE LUMINARAE (SERAPH) & THE DIAKONOS (GROGAN, VALA'SUUN, etc)     The Seraph of Meil’heim     1. "Those most beloved o' Mightel’hjem the Transient." The Traveler. The Seeker. The Walker of Ways.   2. Often called Lumenarae of al U’tan Gyre.   3. Of form and function illumines, and thus of a demanded nature deemed mercurial. Agents of the Balance, ever-shifting in allegiance to center that which becomes unbalanced.   4. Not a collective, but often present as one. Misunderstood by most they encounter. Perhaps, when on the swing towards Law, they become more of a single intelligence. By design, however, when Chaos calls, they must be rogue beings, at odds with even their others.   5. They cannot be born. They cannot be destroyed. They were there at the beginning and will be there at the end. So much as mortals require such erroneous conceits.   6. They prefer humanity to immortals, with regards to interaction. There’s a certain “visible entropy” or “chaos in motion” that is less pronounced within the lugubrious Eternals. Spontaneity and Immediacy are attributes attractive to the Seraph.   7. They are “fluid of form,” and noncorporeal by nature. They can become solid, but this takes constant mindfulness and concentration. It often is not the most comfortable state of being.   8. They tend to solidify mostly when interacting with mortals not used to their kind. They also relish feeling pleasures of the flesh, as mortals do. They can experience sensations to a limited degree when solid, and when in contact with mortals of great passions, may achieve a slight state of physical grace via (vicarious) transference of sensations felt by such beings unto themselves.   9. This absorption of sensation often “mutes” the very same feeling for the mortal initially experiencing it. It somewhat literally “flows” to the Seraph, as if stolen.   ALTERNATE NAMES FOR THE SERAPH   "Species of the Power Source" : Ioerce, Loerce, Meridiem, Lumenaem
Grogan & Strout : Additional Subjects of Interest   1. Closely related as both are Ulta original creations based upon the same organic working model.   2. Is it possible that they are asexual, and reproduce through acts of artistic creation? Strout using stone. Grogan, the local flora. They both have the power to weave the Eret Si’nu into life giving magic (using these specific materials).   3. Grogan created the Fortreal. Do the Strout have a similar creation? Some sort of Rock Golem type creature - with “free will?”   4. Both species are likely genderless but take on the likeness of a particular humanoid archetype, down to (false) gender expression.   5. Because of this, many outsiders simply assume they reproduce as mammals typically do. Grogan and Strout are not quick to correct or clarify such matters. They both tend to be insular, secretive species.   6. Both species share a common schism between those devoted to duty (to the Ulta), and those who hold disdain for this (and them), having lived “too long” in the outside world - and having formed both a perspective and various personal/racial agendas.   7. The Strout kicked the Isagorn refugees from their mountain kingdoms. Their hatred for the “goblins” may be partially “baked in” by their creators.   GROGAN/SIDHE (VALA'SUUN) AGING & REPRODUCTION     1. After the Sundering, magic scattered to the winds, infused in the atmosphere. Much of it escaping. It’s still there, just harder to harness for greater acts of creation.   2. Due to this Grogan & Strout reproduction is down considerably. They seem to have lost some of the edge necessary to proliferate their work. This would also extend to Fortreal, yet that created species was instilled with the capability to seed its own offspring.   3. So could the term Grogan encompass both Strout (“dwarves”) and Pikel (now “moss gnomes”)? If so, maybe a name swap between the two would feel slightly more appropriate. Or barring that, another name for gnomes? Woleske?   4. Or “Pikel” could be the class/family for both species. From Pikel’esska.   5. Other category names… anthroparion, Alreona, Alraun or Alraune, Agathion (familiar), Syven, ayami, mandragoras, imp (imputa), daemon, Pikel from Pooka?, Urisk, Gruagach, Hobs,   6. All intelligent species from Jeis’suul are considered Sidhe.   7. The Ulta first gained knowledge of “bindings” with regards to Sidhe as humans on Earth. In the days of folklore. Some truths in those stories, there were.   8. When elves reproduce, unions with human mothers tend to spawn more Vistraal than those with elvish mothers - more likely to beget Kelti.   9. “AUDIENCE” - since the fallout of the Sundering, and realizing that they could shoulder considerable blame, the Solti have retreated fully from public life. They grant virtually no audience. Not even to Kelti. Certainly not to humans. There are but a few emissaries who are tasked with being the official liaisons for matters such as interaction with the crown, something considered a “rough” and vulgar necessity.   10. Keep in mind that Neishmehil is essentially fully autonomous, and as city-states go, it’s more of a micro-nation. Their conduit to the outside world, when they deign to travel, is typically via the Spectral Sea.   11. Though dreaded by all but the most bullish of men, the Solti seem to have no fear of the “haunted ocean of the dead and frozen, tormented souls.”   12. Some claim they are in league with whatever foul agents of chaos reside beneath the half-frozen surface. They seem to always be granted safe passage, and suffer not the mortal risks of the unpredictable waters, as most others do.   13. Unlike other elves, there is no Grey Havens accessible to the Vala’suun. At least not anything within our own dimension. The Solti hold no delusions about what happens upon their demise. Those still separate from Jeis’suul simply cease to be. It is the great death, the death eternal. The death of the void. Something to be a-void-ed.
