Appearance
A young, tall, and lean Half-Elven man with a beaming smile at all times. His hair is in locks and pushed to the side in a caring and intentional way. His eyes a bit more sunken with minor bags beginning to form. Notable features include his blue suit with purple tie. Leather patches affixed to the elbows and knees being the only signs of ware on his clothing. Fresh brown shoes are polished and affixed to his feet. A white carved brooch is affixed to his lapel in the design of a blooming flower, accentuated by his either Black or Purple Hat affixed with an Ojofire chicken feather.

Biography
Background
Before arriving at the Magaambya, Orvin met with a ghoran named Nymeria. He asked for directions to the Magaambya Academy, in which Nymeria pointed north, away from the actual academy. Orvin became lost for a few days until meeting Eshe and Adira at Nightfall Station. He almost boarded the wrong boat before the duo could correct his course.
Act 1: (S:01 - Current)
S:01 - Orvin arrives at the academy, alongside Eshe and Adira after traveling through the Mwangi Jungle for several weeks. As she enters the academy, she meets Nymeria, and Rubina, and the group of prospective students travel together to begin their initiation.
The group encounters their first battle, and Orvin shows off his bardic performance skills, and inspires the group, while the others take care of the enemies around her. He meets Takulu Ot, and begin the initiation.
After successful rounds of tests to prove to Takulu Ot that they were worthy of joining Magaambya, Orvin and the group earn the title of Initiates, and begin their journey into the academy. Takulu asks the group what defines them, is there something inside them that pulls them?
what Orvin wants is to build others up, and allow them to shine just a little brighter. He answers that his greatest strength is the ability to help others scale up just a little more. Orvin is defined by the banner carried, and seeks support in navigating failure and taking pride in success.
They receive their bead bracelets, and they've successfully joined the Magaambya.
Welcome to the Magaambya
S:02 - Walking around the academy, Orvin showed a keen interesting in picking up flyers for a company called ArcaniCo. He begins to collect all of the duplicate flyers around. They arrive at the Powder Pile, where the group meets with Xhokan for the first time. Teacher Lesedi introduces herself, and Orvin immediately doesn't fully hate her just yet, though it is not a good first showing on her part.
The group meets with Esi and Chizire, and meet the other members of the dormitory. Orvin briefly talks to Adira about the rough patch they went through when entering the dorm, but gives some positive reinforcement. After speaking with Esi, they walk towards the dining hall.
Arriving, they encountered a spectral bison and cheetahs attacking the stalls around the hall. The party were quick to action, and slew the summoned creatures without taking a single hit. This is when they met Mariama and Ignaci. The group comments that the bison was very scary and smelly to reassure Mariama's worry about her bison being too weak.
S:03 - During dinner, the Cohort when the met Teacher Ulawa. They have a brief discussion with Ignaci and Mariama.
Before the night ends, Orvin leaves the Spire Dormitory to takes his time to destroy all of the ArcaniCo flyers, and then refocus himself as he walks back as he plays on his sax. He meets with Chizire, that has a keen interest in Orvin's bardic abilities. Eshe overheard Orvin playing, which Orvin feels self-conscious about his performance. He feels though this was a nice opportunity to connect with his peers.
The First and Second Task - Duck, Duck, Ojofiri
The following morning, the group does their morning routines. The group meets with Esi, who explains the tasks that follow, and the Perquisite. Then she introduces Haibram.
Haibram is an aeromancer who flies on air kites and is going to be providing the First Task.
The task commences and the group enters the markets. As they are walking around, Orvin silently stops ArcaniCo from making a sale. They find the stall with the chickens, and with a quick bartering they successfully complete the task. With the assistance of the party, they obtain one chicken and 3 chicks of the Ojofiri. Orvin acquires one chick for himself and confirms that the shopkeeper Makena is not a fan of ArcaniCo and feels they push people away.
As they return to Haibram, before they got a chance to celebrate, Esi rushes in to begin the Second Task, the pugwampis. Knowing that this would be more of a social battle, Adira sheaths her weapon and takes out her whip instead and ties it into a loop, in case she'd need to catch the pugwampis instead. This wasn't needed, as they instead go to find Anchor Root.
Adira convinces Anchor Root that they can indeed help with the pugwampis, and the Second Task was complete. Since this was already completed a day early, the group had a free day. Adira spent this day with Haibram beginning to build a kite that supports a non-halfling, and then followed by practice with him. They spend the afternoon together.
Orvin and Anchor Root reflect and laugh about the joy of their day together seeing musicians from the area and making some records of music. They share their true names together as Anchor Root walks off for the night with well wishes directed towards Orvin.
The Third Task - I'mbo, Youmbo, We're All Umbo.
S:04 - The next day, the group begins the Third Task given by Chizire to collect ingredients, with Noxolo accompanying. The party finds a cow corpse, which would contain the bones they need. . Orvin and Nymeria attempt to run an interference for the rest of the group as they drag the cow corpse to the butcher. As the bones were the first to be found, the group decides to venture out of the academy and Nantambu, to enter the jungle to locate the Scarlet Caps.
The party comes across a kind fruit merchant named Ido who offered free fruit to the party before they officially entered the wild.
Orvin keeping his eyes on the colonies of mycelium and reclaimed corpses that have been claimed by the brush. Noxolo seems to be keeping eyes in similar directions and finds a long boar's tusk that they have been turning around in their hands.
The group arrives at a large clearing, where a tree in the middle was found, with growing scarlet red mushrooms. Both Adira and Eshe take up the task to climb the tree. Adira tries to grab a final mushroom, the mushroom comes to life. "Umbo?"
Suddenly, Orvin hears huge stomping, and the giant mushroom Umbo attacks, knocking Noxolo down.The team fights Umbo and wins.
S:05 - The party collects the final ingredients, and Adira and Rubina's wounds are treated by Uduak. Orvin successfully obtains oil from the caterpillars without issue. The group then takes the ingredients and finishes the Third Task.
As Chizire begins the Ritual, Orvin keeps a mellow background song followed by bells. The Ritual is complete, successfully, and that ends the Third task. Orvin and Eshe speak on keeping the caterpillars, as pets for Eshe. Orvin finds a quiet place in the city to reconnect with his muse before retiring to bed.
The Fourth Task - Cohort's Divine Delivery Service
The party heads towards the Fourth Task, by Ignaci and Strands. It's mail delivery time, and the party will be on Elephant Birds. Meeting Strands, she mentions her children, and Adira and Orvin express interest in meeting them.
The group travels through Nantambu, and Orvin meets with Makena to deliver her letter to find out that she is being contacted by her ex husband who is seeking forgiveness and for Makena to meet his new wife. Makena reports that her husband has changed to a faith that would require him to find redemption wherever he can to gain access to his heaven. Makina reports that she plans to torment her ex just for a few years before allowing him freedom from this. Orvin is saved from being pick pocketed by Makina's guard. Orvin makes a teeny pit stop at the ArcaniCo stall to get on the ground level of the company. Orvin plays into the spheel ad gets the name Nyota who may be able to speak more onto the attempts to gain access to the Magaambya markets for ArcaniCo. The salesmen let it slip that laws are planning to be changed by the magistrate mayor sometime in the future to allow ArcaniCo in.
The group delivers a letter to a God, whom requires an egg to be swallowed. Another letter requires spells to be casted, and another sent to Gozrah, up in the sky.
The final delivery is to a hut very far from Nantambu, the hut of a Green-eyed Witch. The hut however was infested with giant slugs trying to kill the witch within, and a cat! Adira and the party come in and slice and dice some slugs ("Yes chef! Behind! Re-fire!") and save the cat and the witch.
The door opens and reveals Green-eyed Jatya, a harpy woman.
S:06 - The party introduces themselves to Jatya, who then explains to us why she's so far out of Nantambu.
As the party returns from a successful task, the group is treated to a feast by Ignaci and Strands. Orvin mentiosn what is up with Teacher Lesedi's attitude, and Ignaci reports that Teacher Lesedi can be a bit brash and almost a bully in the beginning to see who will stand and act instead of be a bystander. That many terrible events would not have occurred if more people were willing to stand up. The group walk back to the Spire Dormitory. Orvin slides a note under Eshe's door expressing an apology for speaking on Eshe's behalf about their curse earlier. Orvin hearing furious cleaning of some kind, he returns to his room to get to his work.
The Fifth Task - Stories for the Uzunjati
The following day after an uneventful and restful and even really relaxing night for Adira, the group heads to the final Fifth Task. They meet with Okoro and Esi, whom they must tell a tale for the Uzunjati.
Orvin takes time to tell the tale of the party's entrance of the party into the Magaambya and highlighting each of the party members's heroic actions in protecting the citizens and quelling the threat presented. Leaving plenty of room for the beautiful story that will be written upon the city!
As the rest of the group tells their story and finish the task, they all decide on the Branch they will pick. Adira joins Orvin and Rubina with the Tempest-Sun Mages. The group travels in tandem to the Introduction Ceremory, where they find Mariama in a pool of her own blood, and the ambush begins.
The party quickly get rid of the threat and successfully capture Kurshkin.
The Knights of the Broom Closet
S:07 - As they wait for the Pugwampi being interrogated, Adira decides to do the interrogation. With a successful interrogation with the aid of Eshe and Orvin, they get just a little bit more information.
The group is escorted back to the Spire Dormitory by Mafika (who provides the Tempest Sun Mages bead to Adira), and Adira reassures the group that we should look after each other. She invites everyone into her room. Orvin takes some time to assist with the barrier being erected around the dormitory before rejoining the rest of the dorm members. Once the group settles in, Adira begins the meeting to unpack the situation at the academy.
The discussion goes back and forth on what could possible be plotting against the Magaambya, enough to attack during the introduction ceremony. Some make insights about what could've happened, others had their own questions.
After a few minutes of discussion, the meeting is adjourned, with every a little more comfortable that we're looking out for each other.
Three Months Pass By: Autumn Arrives.
The students spend their time studying during the next three months.
ArcaniCan't Deal With This
Meta Warning! This event is only known to the following player: Orvin
Show SpoilerS:08 - General practice is being held at the sparring field in front of the Spire Dormitory, free time for students to hone their skills. Orvin and Adira are practicing with counters with each other, Adira rushing to stop Orvin from casting a spell, and being glittered by the spell before she's able to. After their third attempt, Adira says they should rest and sit, and that noted Mafika to walk over.
Teacher Mafika gives a few pointers to Adira, that it's correct that they should try to find ways to stop a mage from casting a spell, such as grappling, or other wrestling moves. Teacher Mafika demonstrates this on Orvin, who is quickly taken down. Orvin, taken aback by this display, breaks a little, his face cracking . He recollects himself in time for Mafika to teach him more about the shield spell. Uduak Basni appears to Adira and Orvin, telling them that the couple (Noxolo and Nymeria) have run off to the library looking for Rubina and Eshe as something bad has occurred. Adira and Orvin rush off to find them.
At the library, Orvin was represent when Tonali manifested in front of the group for the first time at the Elephant Museum.
After a conversation about the event, the group goes to their planned visit to Teacher Ot, whom had a task ready for the Anteart Cohort. Teacher Ot mentions a status update on Kurshkin, and their plans for him. He continues with the plans to investigate the Tree Stump Library as shadows have been reported to be seen within the abandoned library, and has requested for the group to go retrieve some lost materials. The party leaves Nymeria and Teacher Ot to speak in a Silenced room. Both Adira nad Orvin search the Elephant Museum to locate Kurshkin, and observe Teacher Ulawa speaking Kholo to Kurshkin in the cage. They then leave when another person walks by.
The Tree Stump Library Investigation
After some shopping, the group reconvenes at the Tree Stump Library to begin their investigation. The group enters the library and after a bit of exploration, the group encounters a group of Scrits who all attack, and the fight ends with success, and finding one of the items needed.
A heavy thumping occurs from one of the doors, and the next battle begins.
S:09 - A series of battles occur within the Tree Stump Library, and each room had some level of investigation. Several Wasps, a swarm of silverfish, and lastly a large slime.
With the first door that had the wasps, hive made of paper-like material covered the room. The hives were broken to avoid any issue, and one of the books was found. Rubina and Adira recover from their wounds, and they visit the next room The group enters and find books scattered about and furniture, and a cauldron lined with onyxes. Orvin waiting last in the room sees a frog within the corner of the room. Orvin calling in Nymeria to explore this, it is found that many folded paper frogs are present. they attempt to share a message with the party, but it is not understood. They were collected for safe keeping. As the party continues their search, they find a swarm of silverfish that were eating the spellskeins and other paper. They find another book, and move to the next room.
There was a shape of a body made of ash in the middle of the room. The remains of a person who was locked in the room, who was imprisoned by spellbinding shackles with Thasolonian runes. A list of people in a piece of paper, "I must return post haste, These ones must die before I leave - Takulu Ot, the woman, her man, Janatimo, Nahara Zinnia, and Nasra, the coward." Adira was shocked that her parents were involved in this kill list. The group knows a little more about the Nasra Zinnia family. The final fight with an ooze ends successfully after Adira and Rubina take a lot of damage, with Rubina falling unconscious.
S:10 - Rubina recovers from their wounds, and the party has finished the final portion of the investigation. Orvin and Nymeria collect ooze samples. Adira finds the final book and hands it over to Eshe, and Nymeria offers to heal Adira's wounds. The group leaves the library and go direct to Teacher Ot.
Teacher Ot welcomes the group back, and the cohort explains all that transpired. The books are returned, then handed back to the group for each person. After everything was said and done, Adira provides the additional information about the person who was dead in the room. Ot's behavior noticeably changes, and begins to explain about the original Cohort years ago when he was in his own grou. Adira leaves, noticeably running back to the Spire Dormitory, Nymeria follows after. Orvin finds that the manacles are overcharged and inert now.
After the day ends, Orvin makes his way to reconnect with his muse.
Three Months Pass By: Winter Arrives
Dreams and Screams

Show SpoilerDuring the next three months, members of the Cohort investigate leads on the past events they've experienced, answers to mysteries yet to be understood. Orvin learns that Asanda is going the route of selfishness in having magic. Wanting to try and break into the college to push back against it. Not doing magic to care fornieghbors, but very much just being selfish and being powerful. Asanda trying to get his foot in the door (like having a powder pile) and generally get more people to work for Arcanico. He does his internship at the ArcaniCo and proceeds to deposit all earned funds at different churches within Nantambu.
At the end of the semester, Orvin is acting as if things are well but seems a bit more on edge after getting middle of the pack grades. Noxolo now checking in on Orvin more and more, he has began just buying/ making little gifts for Noxolo to make it more of a gift exchanging relationship.
During Crystalhue, Orvin gave gifts to his Cohort and Spire Dormitory.
The Starday Tournament
S:11 - Before the Starday Tournament, many members got gifts coming in, but Chizire breaks the news to Orvin about not getting a letter. Offering a sip of his brew, Orvin taking just a lil crumb, learns that Chizire , Noxolo and Orvin did not receive a parcel. Chizire reports some concerns tha tNoxolo has with Conjuration, Mariama with her exhaustion from swinging a sword at night, and Orvin, being just a happy lil guy. Chizire reports to Orvin that he is here for him and understands that something clearly is not okay. Orvin taking steps to check in with Anchor root and offering to engage in a feast similar to her family's to try and make her not as sad about missing her family.
Orvin takes time to visit Xhokan quickly to check in on him and deliver some goodies. Xhokan says that he will come by and watch Orvin for a little bit before returning to work.
As the group approaches, Orvin and Adira approaching the sparing field with Adira's song as the intro.
The tournament begins, and Orvin watches as groups fight and fail against the wooden robots. He see his own Spire Dormitory members get decimated on the second battle, and he felt more inclined to win than ever. Before the fight begins, once the team is mentally prepared, the fights begin for the Anteater Cohort.
They win flawlessly against two battles, and now the third and possibly the most difficult challenge of them all begins.
S:12 Through team work within the party, the party is able to successfully put down the robots! Wounded but victorious! The other members of the dormitory approach to celebrate and praise the party members. Mafika approaches and told the party to meet with him later for a reward. The party members split up to engage with various people. Orvin playing to the crowd and trying to embellish the tale of his party already, but also having a vein on his head pop up throughout this process. Everyone leaves for the night to rest.
Out in the city a couple listens to the faceless saxophone player as Orvin takes time to play into the night.

Show SpoilerA week passes by from Longnight, and The Anteater Cohort is at Ulawa's office to ask some questions about their investigations recently. Ulawa theorizes that the Vessicant Egg can't possibly be controlling the insects as she has a working theory about mites, but Orvin questions this reasoning as well. With Adira's help in terms of the recent findings at the Tree Stump Library, Teacher Ulawa agrees to give us tasks to investigate further. With Anchor Root
With their investigation on their way, they stop by the Greenhouse to investigate an issue with Wood-eating beetles. They see that the beetles are actually carving out a rune of conjuration, which Orvin sketches down. Before they leave, Rubina asks Orvin if she did a good job, which Orvin agrees.
The group arrives at the dining hall, where they meet Esi helping the initiates with the mite problem. The group investigates the kitchen, which they find Ignaci hiding from swarms of the centipedes they were tracking down. A fight goes down and they're victorious, but have taken pretty heavy hits.
