The Aurorum Empire, led by The Exalted and supported by endlessly replenishing soldiers called The Empty, rapidly expanded across Alathor, causing panic and mass migration of refugees. Alden Olamide, part of the Katarian resistance, united several nations, including Yeoria, in a coalition to launch a multi-front assault. Despite initial successes, Aurorum's forces seemed unstoppable until Emilee, Yeoria's ruler, unleashed her full power, devastating Aurorum's army.

When Zun did not appear on their behalf in response to Emilee, Aurorum retreated and were forced into a peace treaty.

This act solidified Emilee's near-mythical status and ensured a fragile peace across the continent.

The Empire of Aurorum’s rapid expansion and apparent endlessly replenished army begins to encroach into the territories of established kingdoms and nations, both old and new, setting off a continental panic and mass migrations of refugees. Aurorum, based in the center of the continent, spreads outward in all directions, cutting off most communication between the other powers, each seemingly unable to defend itself alone.

Marking a rare moment of unity among several diverse regions of Alathor. The war’s roots lay in the unchecked aggression of the Aurorum Empire, led by the religious zealots known as The Exalted. These fanatics, empowered by endless waves of resurrected soldiers called "The Empty," threatened to engulf the entire continent in their fanatical cause.

At the heart of the Katarian portion of the resistance was Alden Olamide, a commoner and traveler. Having traveled across Alathor and seen the suffering caused by Aurorum’s expansion, Alden returned home to rally his people. His proposal to form a grand coalition included reaching out to the leadership of Kyokuri, Yeoria, Virondia, and even the reclusive Helvania, all of which were directly threatened by Aurorum's advance, and planning a future simultaneous series of attacks to hopefully stretch Aurorum’s forces thin and allow the individual resisting nations to push them back.

Alden's diplomatic genius succeeded where others had failed. He convinced these nations, each with its own unique culture and strategic strengths, to band together in a united pincer attack against Aurorum. The coalition launched a simultaneous multi-front assault, causing severe disruptions to Aurorum’s supply lines and forcing them onto the defensive.

However, the vision of victory was fleeting - despite decimation to their numbers, Aurorum’s endless Empty soldiers simply seemed to replenish nightly. It seemed that Aurorum would be unstoppable.

The war reached its climax when Emilee, the legendary ruler of Yeoria who had rarely been seen or heard of since the birth and loss of her son, and who had long abstained from using her powers for warfare, was convinced to take the field. The gravity of the coalition's struggle against Aurorum, combined with the years of internal struggle, pain, and rage over the circumstances leading to the loss of her son, would prompt her to reveal the full extent of the powers gifted to her by the Harbinger Olgos.

On the battlefield, Emilee’s unleashed power was nothing short of cataclysmic. Her magical onslaught devastated Aurorum’s forces, causing widespread destruction and panic among their ranks, even the once indomitable Empty. The Exalted were left with no choice but to retreat, denouncing Emilee as some kind of demonic adversary to Zun - and when Zun did not appear in response, they were forced to end their pursuit of all out conquest and cleansing.

For Emilee’s people, the display of her might cemented her as a divine figure—worshipped by some, feared by others, but revered and loved almost universally within her own Empire. Her allies, concerned about the display of power, kept their opinions to themselves and their courts, as they could not dispute that it was she that had granted them victory.

The overwhelming force of Emilee’s intervention led to the signing of a peace treaty, halting Aurorum’s aggressive campaign and bringing a period of uneasy peace to Alathor. This moment also marked the solidification of Emilee’s near-mythical status and the continued dominance of the Yeorian Empire, which would go on to play a critical role in the future balance of power across the continent, though Emilee would declare her successor and then pass away shortly after.

This war and treaty would be remembered for centuries, with the latter still in place in the modern day, It is remembered not only for the strategic genius of Alden Olamide but also for the awe-inspiring moment when Emilee revealed her true strength, forever changing the fate of Alathor.
