Isoko first creates the Maia, a race of beautiful and creative beings, by modifying a group of Prime living fairly peacefully on the western shores of Alathor. Then Resh creates the Grizzla from a group of Prime to the north, they become a race known for its strength and resilience. Huichi creates the Nakhasi from bands of Prime living within the central part of the continent. Lastly, Isoko and Huichi create durable, clever race they call the Pukta from a group of isolationist Prime that migrated into a northwestern territory, cutting themselves off from the rest of the continent.

Zun, in protest, abstains

Isoko, ever the nurturer and creative spirit, took it upon herself to influence a small group of Prime who had chosen to live separately from their kin. Over generations, she imbued their unborn offspring with traits she found beautiful and good, gradually transforming them into a new race—the Maia. The Maia were elegant, creative, and kind, their skin shimmering with the hues of jewels and flowers. They were everything the Prime were not, but they also inherited some of Isoko’s flaws, such as impulsiveness and a tendency towards disorganization.

Isoko’s success inspired her siblings. Resh, the eldest Steward and guardian of winter, created the Grizzla, a race of strong, contemplative and resilient beings. Huichi, the Steward of autumn, brought forth the Nakhasi, a race known for their introspection and quiet strength. Together, Isoko and Huichi also created the Pukta, a cunning, creative and curious people.

Only Zun refrained from following his siblings’ example. He disapproved of their creations, viewing it as further tampering with and distance from the plans and guidelines the Father had left. He had become secretly enamored with Huichi, who had always acted as a kind soothsayer for him, and confided in her first. But her own curiosity and strong connection with Isoko always seemed to override her reason, and so Zun remained focused on his own vision of purity and order. While his intentions were to protect his siblings and the world their Mother and adopted Father had created, it was a vision that would eventually put him at odds against his siblings.
