Vaneguard Moon

So the Elemental Titans when they forced the Divine Gods out of Godai, they needed someway of holding the generals, champions and larger creatures of the divine. This included angels, divine creatures and mortals imbued with divine power. The Titans created a small third moon which was riddled with tunnels and chambers, which could be used to hold all those beings. They were all transported to their new home, and cryogenetical frozen by Istishia and Akadi brood and left in the depths of the Vaneguard to never awaken or return to the surface of Godai.

Appearance

The moon is the smallest of the three that circle Godai, it doesn't reflect light in the same way as the other two, so doesn't show the normal waxing and waning of moons. It can be seen by the fact it moves across the sky hiding the stars and other moons behind it at different points of travel. It is from what scholars can make out via crude telescopes, a black rock quite a bit closer to the world than the other 2 moons.

Access

The legends and history talk about a gate to the inside of the Prison as a way of checking on those held within. The titans couldn't bring themselves to destroy creatures that they saw as slaves to the Divine and not at fault for stealing energies from their planes, so hoped to find away of bringing them around and removing the divine seed within them. No one sure where the gate is within the world, either which continent it is on. Many believe it was destroyed after the original war, but some believe that there is a group that guard the entrance and the greatest of the elemental champions will cross over to the jail and debate with those that held within to challenge them and bring to them to realisation that their Gods were Thieves and Miscreants, not worthy of their worship or blind loyalty.

Modern Information

The scholars of the imperial university in Sunsu, know that the legends are real, but all knowledge of the prison and gates have been removed from public record, for safety and believe that the place should never been access by any. All documentation that talks about the Vaneguard other than as a Moon are stored within the restricted vaults of the university. But the legends are still talked about by the lowborn and highborn of the Imperium.
The Crane Empress is believed to be one of the few who know the true story of the Prison within Vaneguard.
