Redrook Hunters

If you need something or someone found, the Redrook's are the people to go to
— Master Kalan
The Redrook's are based out of Sunsu the capital of the Crane Imperium, they are licenced hunters and are allowed to operate anywhere within the Imperium. They are hired by many people to find lost souls, thieves or missing property. Which obviously brings them into contact with the Ka'lessi and many other shadowy groups across the country. Sometimes they are just a middle man to reclaim property for a price, but sometimes they have to take the items by force or misdirection.   They legally allowed to use force to reclaim property from the person who stole it, but if its been sold to someone who is innocent other than in the fact they brought stolen property it becomes a little more risky for the redrooks to take the property back so money may have to exchange hands. Fences, Thieves or third party handlers are all legal to physical recover items from.   They can also be hired to find lost people, while kidnapping is rare within the Imperium, the Crown takes a dim view of such things, and those that try it tend to have mutliple groups come down on them hard, there is lots of cases of missing people for other reasons, sometimes not entirely legal (misuse of drugs, alochol or just for a reason that they wanted to go missing, be it illegal or not. The Redrooks really don't care as long they getting paid for it, be it by the crown or an indepedent person.

History

The Redrooks formed 80 years ago by an Tengu, who had a redstreak in his mostly black feathers, he hadn't be a member of a nobles guard for many years previously. He wanted some independant from the structured environment of a guard member. So decided to take the money he had saved up and with support from his old captain, he got a licence to hunt criminals and other bounties. It turned out he was good at it, and just finding stuff in general, so people started to come to him not just bounty side, but to find missing or stolen jewellery, documents or any other valuables. He started building up contacts with the shadey side of the Sunsi, as well the guards and miltary within the city that acted as the law, there is no single police force and the noble houses look after their own lands and districts within the city. As people got to know of him, he hired more and more other licenced hunters, and in the end started to sponsor new hunters who showed promise.
